Kalahari Resorts & Conventions will open bookings for its new Spotsylvania, Virginia, location on January 12, 2026, with the resort set to welcome guests starting December 18, 2026.
Kalahari Resorts & Conventions has announced that it will begin accepting bookings for its upcoming resort in Spotsylvania, Virginia, on January 12, 2026. The resort is scheduled to open to guests on December 18, 2026. The development is located on a 135-acre site near Dominion Raceway & Entertainment, strategically positioned for accessibility from the greater DC-Maryland-Virginia region and Richmond.
The resort will feature:
– Approximately 900 guest suites.
– Virginia’s largest indoor waterpark, spanning over 175,000 square feet.
– An expansive convention center.
– Various dining and entertainment options.
The $900 million project will cover 1.38 million square feet. The indoor waterpark will offer a wide range of attractions suitable for all ages, including over 50 waterslides and dedicated areas for younger visitors. Notable attractions include:
– Dawn Breaker, a raft ride with a steep drop and vertical wall.
– Zambezi River Rapids, a multi-person raft ride.
– Safari Speedway, a racing adventure for families.
In addition to the waterpark, the resort will provide family dining and entertainment experiences under one roof. Guests staying overnight will receive complimentary access to the waterpark, valid from check-in through check-out. The resort will also offer complimentary parking and Wi-Fi.
Kalahari Resorts is also launching a contest to name one of the signature waterslides. Participants can submit name ideas online; the contest runs until January 31, 2026. The winner will have their chosen name featured at the resort and receive an overnight stay at a Kalahari location of their choice, along with additional credits for food, beverage, and arcade activities. Two runner-up winners will receive waterpark day passes and food-and-beverage credits.
