‘Keyes’ skulls and terminal locations in Halo Campaign Evolved

30 July 20263 Mins Read

The “Keyes” mission in Halo: Campaign Evolved has another three skulls and one terminal to find, and you must seek them out while you also look for something else, arguably more important: Captain Keyes. Much of Halo: Campaign Evolved has revolved around finding the captain after he was taken by the Covenant, and now you’re aboard a Covenant ship in search of him.

However, you should grab these skulls and terminals along the way. Here’s the location for all four during “Keyes” in Halo: Campaign Evolved.

Skull 1: Catch

  • Description: Enemies throw and drop more grenades.
  • Objective: Fight your way to the gravity lift.

You must be on either heroic or legendary difficulty to get this skull.

From the start of “Keyes,” you need to get through the enemies until you reach the gravity lift. The skull only spawns if you make it there within 2 minutes and 30 seconds, so you’re better off just sprinting all the way past.

Either way, once you reach the gravity lift, head up to it and clear all the enemies marked on your HUD. When these are dead, after a few moments, you’ll start ascending. The skull is hovering in midair as you reach the top, so make sure you’re holding the pickup button (square on PS5, X on Xbox, or E on PC) and you’ll automatically grab the skull as you get to the top.

If you’re encountering difficulties, you can change the gameplay modifiers before loading in to make it easier. However, players are reporting that enabling skulls causes this skull not to spawn, so we’d recommend ensuring all skulls are disabled.

  • Description: HUD and weapons do not appear onscreen.
  • Objective: Get to the shuttle bay.

After ascending the lift, your objective will change to get to the shuttle bay. Note that you can go back to easy difficulty for this skull if you like, which means you can restart the level from rally point bravo.

Follow the objective marker until you reach a two-floor room with a wraith in the middle. Behind the wraith is an open doorway, and around the corner is another wraith. If you crouch, you can squeeze through the gap between the wraith and the wall. The Blind skull is at the top of the slope here, on your left.

Terminal: Consumed

  • Objective: Ascend to the upper deck.

As soon as you make it to the shuttle bay, take a left and there’ll be a green door in front of you. Head through here, take a left, then another left. You’ll find a bunch of enemies here, including two hunters.

Kill them all, then take a right turn where the hunters were, followed by a left. The terminal should be in front of you.

Skull 3: Pinata

  • Description: Punching enemies makes them drop inert grenades.
  • Objective: Locate Captain Keyes.

Keep playing until you find Captain Keyes, now part of the Flood. As soon as the cutscene finishes and you regain control of Master Chief, turn around and melee the growth where Captain Keyes is/was four times. The skull will drop to the ground.
