Mariano Cannello has been appointed general manager of Hilton Buenos Aires. In this role, he will oversee hotel operations, including sales and marketing, administration, and guest services. Cannello has more than 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry.
Most recently, Cannello served as Regional Director of Sales & Marketing for South America at Hilton, supporting 22 hotels across five countries and six brands, where he led regional commercial strategy.
Cannello began his hospitality career as a Front Desk Agent at Hilton Buenos Aires. He later held operational leadership roles at three hotels in Paris and transitioned into revenue management. He participated in the opening of Hilton Vilamoura Golf Resort & Spa in Portugal. After working on projects at other companies in Italy, he returned to Hilton in 2015 as Director of Revenue Management for the opening of Hilton Barra Rio de Janeiro, and subsequently rejoined Hilton Buenos Aires as Commercial Director.
Cannello has worked in five countries and across 13 hotels, including seven Hilton properties in airport, resort, and urban locations.
He was born and raised in Buenos Aires and holds a bachelor’s degree in Hotel Business from the University of Buenos Aires.
