Meininger Hotels has announced plans to open a new property in Dublin’s Liberties district, developed in partnership with Salamisso Developments, with an opening scheduled for April 2028.

Meininger Hotels is expanding its presence in the UK and Ireland with a new hotel in Dublin’s Liberties district. The project, developed in collaboration with Salamisso Developments, will be located in a newly constructed building spanning 8,163 square meters across seven floors. The property will feature 232 rooms and 811 beds. Room configurations include 75 double rooms, 33 triple rooms, 91 quadruple rooms, and 33 six-bed rooms.

The opening of the Dublin hotel is scheduled for April 2028. The property is located next to Vicar Street and the National College of Art and Design. The hotel is within walking distance of Heuston Station, which provides access to regional and national trains as well as the Luas tram. The Dublin Express Coach will connect the hotel directly to the airport in approximately 40 minutes.

The announcement follows Meininger Hotels’ previously announced opening in Edinburgh, planned for this summer. The Dublin property is the eighth location currently in development for Meininger Hotels, following projects in Edinburgh, Barcelona, Strasbourg, Kiel, Tel Aviv, Madrid, and Porto. The company’s portfolio currently includes 36 hotels.

According to the companies, the Dublin project is being developed in response to high demand for accommodation in the city. The hotel will be located in an area described as undergoing regeneration and investment.
