Netflix Sets June 2026 Release Date & Reveals First Look

Quickly renewed in the spring of 2025, Netflix Italy’s hit family drama My Family (Storia Della Mia Famiglia) is set to return. The sophomore season will debut with heightened emotions on June 10th, 2026. Here is everything you need to know.

The drama returns for a six-episode run and welcomes renowned Italian actor and director Sergio Castellitto to the cast. Castellitto will play Gaetano, the father of Fausto. Netflix recently unveiled the first teaser for the season (currently available in Italian; an international version is expected to follow).

As a reminder, the first season dropped back in February 2025 and spent a week in the global top 10s, picking up 7.1M hours watched and 1.6M views, but more importantly, spent 30 days in the daily Italian top 10s, often a prerequisite for getting renewed.

Netflix has also released the official logline for the upcoming season:

“Despite the love and commitment of his family, keeping the promise made to Fausto has proven impossible. A year after his death, the balance of this ramshackle and beloved clan is more precarious than ever. The only one who seems steady is the one you would least expect: Valerio, who has immersed himself in a new way of escaping his brother’s memory—a foolproof technique for protecting himself from pain.

That is, until the most unlikely of guests arrives: Gaetano, an unstoppable reminder of Fausto and his vitality. The family must now face a double challenge: rediscovering their unity and reuniting Libero with Ercole, while finally accepting that the time has come to mourn. While the outcome is uncertain, one thing is for sure: this family still knows how to laugh in the face of every setback and put love above all pain.”

The episodes are once again penned by creator Filippo Gravino alongside Elisa Dondi. Directing duties for the second season were handled by Claudio Cupellini and Marco Danieli.
