A new food festival with over 50 vendors is taking over Toronto’s waterfront

13 May 20262 Mins Read

Toronto’s waterfront is getting a brand-new open-air food festival this long weekend, bringing together more than 50 food vendors alongside free activities for visitors to enjoy.

The city’s latest addition to its growing lineup of exciting summer events, Festival of Flavours is set to kick off the outdoor market season with a three-day celebration packed with international street food, live entertainment, and waterfront views.

Among the featured food vendors are Simply Filipino, Steak Barrels, Skewdat, Pica Pica Delights, and Shawafel Mediterranean Cuisine.

Organizers say the event is a means to kick off a bustling summer season, offering Toronto residents a preview of the markets, pop-ups, and community events planned along the waterfront for the months ahead.

While the event is free to attend, one of the festival’s biggest draws will be the VIP Taste Pass program, which lets guests sample select menu items for just $5 at participating vendors. The initiative is designed to help guests try a variety of dishes and discover new local favourites without breaking the bank.

Beyond the delicious food, the festival will also feature free entertainment and activities throughout the weekend, including salsa dancing sessions and face painting.

Festival of Flavours runs from May 16 to May 18, from noon to 10 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday, and from noon to 8 p.m. on Monday.

The event will take place at Sugar Beach, located at 11 Dockside Dr.
