Netflix is expanding its international film library with “Feel My Voice” (Non abbiam bisogno di parole), an Italian coming-of-age drama set to premiere globally on Friday, April 3, 2026. The film marks the acting debut of singer Sarah Toscano and is a remake of the celebrated 2014 French film “La Famille Bélier,” which was also adapted into the Oscar-winning movie CODA for Apple TV+.
Directed by Luca Ribuoli, Feel My Voice tells the moving story of Eletta (Sarah Toscano), a teenager who is the only hearing member of her deaf family. She serves as the essential link between her parents and the hearing world. Her life takes an unexpected turn when a teacher, played by Serena Rossi, discovers her extraordinary singing voice.
This discovery presents Eletta with a profound choice: pursue her dream by auditioning for a prestigious music school or remain with her family, who depend on her. The narrative explores the tension between personal ambition and familial duty.
The Cast and Crew
Feel My Voice introduces Sarah Toscano in her first major acting role as the protagonist, Eletta. She is joined by Serena Rossi, known for her versatile roles in Italian cinema and television. She will appear as Eletta’s singing teacher.
The cast also includes Alessandro Parigi, Emilio Insolera, Carola Insolera, Antonio Iorillo, and Asia Corvino.
The film is directed by Luca Ribuoli, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Cristiana Farina. Production is handled by Our Films and PiperFilm in collaboration with Circle One. Corrado Carosio and Pierangelo Fornaro serve as the composers for the film.
Based on an Acclaimed Story
The film is based on the screenplay for “La Famille Bélier,” a successful French film that garnered critical acclaim upon its release. The story found a massive international audience through its 2021 American remake, “CODA,” which went on to win three Academy Awards, including Best Picture. Like its predecessors, “Feel My Voice” centers on a heartfelt story of family, music, and self-discovery.
Netflix released the official trailer and first-look images for the film on March 5, 2026, building anticipation for its April release. The movie was recently showcased as part of Netflix’s Italy slate preview for 2026, which included 15 other titles, including highly anticipated returning titles like The Law According to Lidia Poet, plus debuts like Minerva Academy and Nemesis.
