‘Rebuild the Huge Building!’ walkthrough and quest steps in Pokémon Pokopia

5 March 20265 Mins Read

The important request in the Sparkling Skylands area in Pokémon Pokopia is “Rebuild the Huge Building!,” which will have you supplying materials to Tinkmaster and friends to… well, rebuild the huge building.

You’ll unlock this task after learning to glide from Dragonite, finding Tinkmaster, and learning to make concrete, so know that there’s quite a bit you’ll need to do before this request begins. This important request is a bit of a culmination of your skills learned in the past areas, as you’ll need to process a lot of different goods and also make sure you have a large array of Pokémon who can help out.

Below, we list the steps for the “Rebuild the Huge Building!” important request, detailing what items you’ll need to proceed, and how to find some of the trickier ones.

‘Rebuild the Huge Building!’ walkthrough in Pokopia

Notably, this important request doesn’t require you to complete a bunch of smaller requests for other Pokémon, but rather submit materials and Pokémon to rebuild several floors of a building. Either way, our guide should help you plan ahead, giving you an idea of all of the materials you’ll need to start processing. Take a look at the list of tasks below:

  1. Donate 25 concrete, 10 glass, 5 Poké Ingots, and 10 iron ingots to the basket. If you haven’t made glass already, you can get it from smelting sand.
  2. Bring Tinkmaster, as well as five other Pokémon, to start building. This takes about an hour to complete.
  3. Talk to Tinkmaster when the building finishes in order to start the next part.
  4. Donate 25 concrete, 10 glass, 10 glowing stones, and 15 copper ingots to build the next floor. Glowing stones are the stone blocks with rainbow-colored rocks inside, found in the Rocky Ridges mines (more on that below).
  5. Bring Chef Dente, as well as three additional Pokémon, to start building this floor. This part will take another hour to finish.
  6. Once the hour passes, talk to Tinkmaster again to start the building process for the fourth floor.
  7. Donate 40 concrete, 15 glass, 10 paper, 10 bricks, and 20 lumber to the material box. To make paper, you can either recruit a Metang or you can use Trubbish to process the wasteland paper into regular paper. (Again, more on that below.)
  8. Bring Peakychu and four more Pokémon to start construction on the fourth floor.
  9. Talk to Tinkmaster again once construction finishes, then head up the roof to investigate, and then back down to Professor Tangrowth to finish this quest.

Once you’ve wrapped up all of this, you’ll need to head back to Withered Wasteland to continue the game’s story by handing more items to the mysterious structure by the beach. Before you go, you should take some time to appreciate the very cool building you just made, though.

Where to find glowing stone in Pokémon Pokopia

If you haven’t found any glowing stones yet, head back to Rocky Ridges. Make sure you have food to power up Cut (salads) and Rock Smash (hamburger) before you head out, or you’ll need to come back and make that food.

Head into the mine, towards where you originally befriended Magmar and learned about smelting. Keep following the mine tracks until you see metal grates on the side. Use a salad-powered Cut to break through the fencing. Move the pillars out of the way using Strength (holding A), and there’ll be a room full of glowing stone, crystal, and gold ore just ahead. Use your hamburger-powered Rock Smash to collect the rock.

If you need more, you can head back to the tracks and follow them into the lava-filled room. On the right side, there’ll be another metal grate that you can Cut to access another room with more crystals, gold, and glowing stone.

How to get paper in Pokémon Pokopia

At this point in the game, there are two ways you can get paper. Just like lumber, bricks, and other similar products, you can get paper by handing wastepaper that you have over to Pokémon with the Recycle ability.

You can make a habitat for Metang, as directed by Tinkmaster, by using the whiteboard and cables that they show you, but you’ll need a laptop and desk to complete this habitat. Or you can ship yourself back to Bleak Beach, and have your Trubbish make paper.

If you want Metang (which we recommend, because now you have a permanent resident nearby who can Recycle for you), fly over to the western island, which is full of destroyed buildings — though they all have some good furniture inside. From the platform where you can place a lift, head up the stairs past the vending machine, and then look into the room on your right, which will have both a tea set on a desk, and a laptop in the back corner. There’s also another laptop in the room behind this one.

Yoink the laptop (and a desk, so you don’t have to make a separate one), and set it up with the whiteboard and cables to bring a Metang to your settlement.

Hand over your wastepaper to Metang (or Trubbish) and they’ll turn it into paper.
