IHG has introduced Regent Spa & Wellness, a new global spa and wellness concept, at selected Regent hotels and resorts. The concept debuted at Regent Bali Canggu and will expand to Jeddah, Kuala Lumpur, and Kyoto within the next five years. Regent Spa & Wellness was developed in collaboration with Raison d’Etre, IHG’s wellness partner.
The concept features treatments, practices, and spatial design that deliver a distinct wellness experience. Each location will interpret the concept uniquely, guided by IHG’s wellness team and Raison d’Etre. The spa journey begins with The Reset, a meditative sound therapy experienced in private waiting areas. At Regent Bali Canggu, The Reset takes place in Balinese-style cabanas and includes a self-guided meditation and sound experience by OPO Studios. In urban locations such as Regent Jeddah, the practice will incorporate light, sound, and technology.
Signature treatments at Regent Bali Canggu include The Massage Revolution, performed on a warm quartz sand bed with deep pressure and neroli essence; The Crystal Cure, which combines scrub and massage techniques with crystal energy and essential oils; and The Healing Zen, which uses rhythmic touch, conscious breath, and warm stones. The Together Massage is designed for parents and children, and The Facial Revolution uses botanical actives from Kerstin Florian, LED light therapy, and EMS technologies.
The spatial design of Regent Spa & Wellness incorporates elements such as octagonal arrival spaces intended to maximize energy flow. In Kuala Lumpur, guests will enter through an octagon-shaped space before reaching the main reception. Treatments conclude with a transition into the Relax Dome, a space designed to provide comfort and a sense of renewal.
Movement and exercise environments at Regent Spa & Wellness are structured around the concept of Yin and Yang, offering both calming meditative movement and higher-intensity fitness in spaces designed to reflect these contrasting energies.
Regent Jeddah will open later this year as the first Regent hotel in the Middle East, with its Regent Spa occupying 1,500 square meters and including separate areas for ladies and gentlemen, indoor and outdoor pools, and a 200-square-meter fitness club. Regent Kuala Lumpur is scheduled to open in 2027, with its Regent Spa located on the 31st floor. Regent Kyoto is planned to open in 2028, set within a historic garden.
Personal Havens, private spaces for meditation and solitude, are also part of the wellness offering at Regent hotels and resorts. At Regent Bali Canggu, guests can participate in an immersive meditation and sound journey that incorporates local soundscapes.
The Regent brand currently includes 11 hotels and resorts, with additional properties planned for future openings.
