The Ritz-Carlton Bacara, Santa Barbara has completed a comprehensive renovation of its facilities, including guest rooms, dining venues, and public spaces.
The Ritz-Carlton Bacara in Santa Barbara has finalized a significant renovation project in celebration of its 25th anniversary. The updates encompass redesigned guest rooms and suites, new dining concepts, and refreshed public spaces, including the pool area. The project was executed in collaboration with design firm Meyer Davis.
The resort, located on 78 acres overlooking the Pacific Ocean, now features 358 redesigned guest rooms and suites. These accommodations have been updated with Spanish tilework, textiles, and handcrafted details reflecting the local cultural heritage. The resort also offers three signature suites, including the two-bedroom Ritz-Carlton Suites and the expansive Channel Islands Suite, which spans 3,700 square feet.
Dining options have been expanded with the introduction of new restaurant concepts. Marisella, led by Chef Danny Grant, offers a menu inspired by the California coast, featuring handmade pastas and local seafood. Another venue, Lulio, focuses on Mediterranean flavors with a menu that changes daily. The ‘O’ Bar & Terrace serves as a central hub for guests, offering California-inspired cuisine and cocktails.
The resort’s pool area has been enhanced with a new outdoor terrace and a refreshed pool deck, which includes three zero-edge swimming pools and additional cabanas. The SunBar provides poolside dining options, with menus that adapt to the time of day and season.
The Ritz-Carlton Bacara Spa, covering 42,000 square feet, offers a range of wellness services, including a swimming pool, sauna, and steam room. The resort also offers 70,000 square feet of meeting and event space, suitable for a wide range of occasions.
