The global drag superstar is set to headline Cowboys Music Festival with a special daytime DJ set, bringing all the uniqueness, charisma, and talent you’d expect from a full Ru moment.
Drag royalty lands in Calgary
RuPaul will headline the Drag Me To Cowboys event on Saturday, July 11. And the best part? It’s a daytime set that starts at 1 p.m, so you don’t even have to stay up late to catch it.
With this being RuPaul’s first appearance in Calgary since 1996, there is no doubt that this will be one of the most in-demand events of the summer.
The entire experience will basically feel like a giant dance party. You can expect to hear RuPaul mix some of his biggest tracks, like “Supermodel (You Better Work),” “Sissy That Walk,” and “Call Me Mother.”
Alongside RuPaul, the Cowboys Music Festival also just recently announced headliners like Dominic Fike and The Chainsmokers, so needless to say, this year’s lineup is going to be stacked with big names.

If you’re planning to attend RuPaul’s DJ set, there are a few things to know before you go. The event will take place at Cowboys Park right in the heart of downtown Calgary, making it super accessible by transit, rideshare, or on foot if you live nearby.
Tickets for the event are on sale now and start at approximately $39 for general admission, making it one of the more affordable events at the festival. Although it’s best not to wait until the last minute to snag some tickets, as prices are expected to increase as the event date gets closer and demand starts to rise.
