São Paulo Hotels Hit Record Highs Amid Formula 1 Grand Prix Surge

São Paulo’s hotel sector saw a marked increase in November 2025, driven by the excitement surrounding the Brazilian Grand Prix. The event propelled the city’s average daily rate (ADR) and revenue per available room (RevPAR) to historic levels, according to preliminary data from CoStar, a leading real estate information and analytics provider.

For the first time, São Paulo’s ADR surpassed the BRL 1,000 mark, reaching BRL 1,025.95, a notable 26.5% increase from the previous year. Similarly, RevPAR soared by 30.8% to BRL 762.15. The city’s occupancy rate also climbed to 74.3%, marking its highest point since 2011.

The peak of this performance occurred during the Grand Prix weekend, with ADR hitting an all-time high of BRL 1,699.90 and RevPAR reaching BRL 1,573.32 on Friday, November 7. Occupancy peaked at 93.6% the night before, underscoring the event’s draw for both international and local visitors.

Sustained demand kept São Paulo’s ADR above BRL 1,000 for a week, from November 4 to 10, with RevPAR exceeding BRL 1,000 on two nights preceding the race. This trend highlights the powerful influence of major sporting events on the hospitality industry, positioning São Paulo as a key destination for global travelers.
