Secrets Playa Mujeres Resort Reopens After Renovation

Hyatt Hotels Corporation has announced the reopening of the Secrets Playa Mujeres Golf & Spa Resort after completing significant renovations. The resort, located in a gated community north of Cancun, Mexico, features 424 rooms and is part of the Secrets Resorts & Spas brand.

The resort is located in a private area that includes a Greg Norman-designed golf course and is approximately 35 minutes from Cancun International Airport. Guests staying at the adults-only, all-inclusive resort have access to amenities at the neighboring Dreams Playa Mujeres Golf & Spa Resort.

Renovations at Secrets Playa Mujeres include updated guest rooms, redesigned with a contemporary coastal theme. The Preferred Club now features a new two-story building with a check-in lounge and an ocean-view restaurant. Additionally, a new private beach club has been constructed.

Public spaces at the resort have also been updated. The Rendezvous lobby bar and check-in area have been relocated to improve guest convenience. Meeting spaces have been enhanced, and the Secrets Spa will debut additional enhancements in mid-February.

Dining and entertainment options have been refreshed, with updates to Desires Night Club and Coco Café. The Portofino restaurant continues to offer Italian cuisine, while Bordeaux will introduce an Amazonian-inspired dining experience in mid-February.
