Susur Lee is launching a secret late-night ramen in Toronto this summer, Canada Reviews

Toronto foodies and late-night enthusiasts have a unique culinary collaboration to look forward to late this summer. Acclaimed chef Susur Lee is officially partnering with Asahi Super Dry to reimagine one of Japan’s most beloved comfort foods. The duo is launching an exclusive, limited-edition Super Dry Ramen crafted specifically to complement the profile of Japan’s signature beer.

The collaboration comes as part of a broader late-summer campaign dubbed Seeking the Unique, which aims to transform familiar nightlife and dining into fresh experiences. To build anticipation for the dish’s official reveal, Asahi is hosting a series of hidden Tokyo Nights pop-up events across Toronto and Vancouver starting later this August. Buzzy local venues including Silent H, Soluna and Bar Mordecai will temporarily transform into immersive spaces inspired by Tokyo’s underground listening bars and late-night drinking culture, featuring curated DJ sets and special tasting moments.

While the local bar takeovers are open to the public, the custom ramen itself remains a tightly guarded creation. The dish will officially make its debut this September during an invite-only dinner hosted at Lee Restaurant in downtown Toronto. Local diners hoping to try a bowl won’t find it on a standard menu; instead, attendees at the preliminary pop-up nights will have the opportunity to win coveted seats at chef Lee’s table to be among the very first to sample the creation.
