In Brief: Tamarind, Barbados, an Autograph Collection All-Inclusive Resort, has reopened after a redesign that completes a two-year, multi-million-dollar renovation and brand conversion program across the seven-resort Barbados Collection portfolio.

Tamarind has reopened on Barbados’ West Coast with 111 guestrooms and suites, updated dining venues, public spaces and guest programming.
Dining options at Tamarind include Sugar Cane Restaurant for breakfast, Harvest & Hive for coffee, 246 Bar & Restaurant for local and international dishes, and Sugar Shack for seaside food. The resort will also include Caribbean Restaurant, the island’s first air-conditioned restaurant dedicated exclusively to Barbadian cuisine.
The resort offers swimming pools, beachfront areas, motorized and non-motorized water sports, wellness offerings and destination-focused activities. Its CAMP Club is an indoor and outdoor area created in partnership with CAMP and Marriott Bonvoy. Activities include local arts and crafts, music, storytelling and interactive programming inspired by Barbados.
Programming at Tamarind includes rum tastings, Soca dance lessons and pop-up cooking classes featuring Bajan fish cakes. Guests can also participate in the Barbados Collection’s Dine Around Program, which provides access to culinary offerings and experiences at participating sister properties.
The resort has two indoor event spaces and outdoor venues for meetings, weddings and other events, with capacity for up to 400 guests.
The reopening completes the conversion of Waves Resort & Spa, Treasure Beach, The House and Tamarind into Autograph Collection All-Inclusive Resorts. Crystal Cove and Turtle Beach have been introduced as Tribute Portfolio All-Inclusive Resorts, while Colony Club reopened as a property in The Luxury Collection.
Tamarind is part of the Barbados Collection’s Lifestyle Stretch, which includes The House and Treasure Beach on the West Coast. The collection’s offerings include the debut of Sandtrap Beach Club, a beachfront destination.
