The Oberoi Group has announced the opening of The Oberoi Rajgarh Palace in Khajuraho. The property is a restored 350-year-old palace, originally built by Maharaja Hindu Pat of the Bundela Dynasty. It is located on a 76-acre estate that includes a natural lake and is surrounded by forests and hills. The location is near Panna National Park and the UNESCO World Heritage temples of Khajuraho.
The estate features 65 rooms and suites, including Palace Suites, private pool villas, and accommodations with private gardens and terraces. The Kohinoor Suite offers two bedrooms and a private pool. Dining options include Maanya, which serves regional cuisine and is open for dinner; Neerangan, offering Indian and international dishes; and Amrava, which offers small plates and cocktails.
The property includes banquet spaces for up to 200 guests, with both indoor and outdoor options. Additional facilities include a spa with tented treatment suites accessible by boat, two temperature-controlled pools, and various immersive experiences. These experiences include guided tours of Khajuraho’s temples, safaris in Panna National Park, and explorations of Raneh Gorge.
The Oberoi Rajgarh Palace incorporates sustainability practices, including solar power, water recycling, and on-site vegetable and herb cultivation. The property aims to support local livelihoods and cultural preservation through various initiatives.
