The Winning Photos From The World Food Photography Awards 2026, Canada Reviews

3 June 20262 Mins Read

Lots of us fancy ourselves as decent food photographers, but our camera rolls have got nothing on the almost 9,000 vibrant submissions to this year’s World Food Photography Awards sponsored by Tenderstem® Bimi® Broccolini.

The winning image, A Woman Eats in the Canteen of the Soviet-era Sanatorium, was snapped by British photographer Jo Kearney. About the image, competition founder Caroline Kenyon said: ‘Against the parched colours of the scene through the window, the rich crimson chairs give a regal quality to the setting, and though humbly dressed, her dignified bearing is queenly too.’

This stunning photograph, along with 202 of the finalist images, will be on display at an exhibition at the Mall Galleries in London from Wednesday June 3 to Sunday June 7. If you can’t make it to London, though, grab your knife and fork and tuck into our 10 favourite snaps from this year’s competition, right here.
