This outdoor farmers market just north of Edmonton is the largest in Canada

23 April 20263 Mins Read

The St. Albert Farmers Market is an outdoor market that runs every summer in St. Albert’s downtown district. It’s back this June, and we absolutely can’t wait.

With over 200 vendors, this outdoor market is the largest of its kind in Canada, and you’d definitely be missing out if you didn’t stop by. No matter the weather, this market stands out in more ways than one.

If you’re ready for the summer, you’ll be waiting in anticipation for this epic event.

What to expect

First things first, this market is officially reopening on June 6. Starting then, they will be holding a market every Saturday, rain or shine, until October 10. And every weekend, it will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Here, when you walk in, you’ll be absolutely overcome with excitement. You can explore over 200 vendors spanning across the downtown area, with food, beauty items, jewelry, and so much more than you could ever imagine.

If you’re bringing the kids along, no worries. There’s the new free kids program, Market Buds, with each week bringing a new activity, teaching kids about local food and businesses. This means it’s the perfect spot for families, ensuring everyone can have a great time at the market.

There’s also live music, balloon animals, and jumpy castles, plus special event days all season long for the kids to be a part of.

Keep in mind, however, that while children are welcome, pets are not. Unless they are registered service animals with proper identification, you could be subject to a fine. Avoid that worry by coming pet-less.

As for parking, you’ll be glad to know there’s a Park and Ride that comes from the St. Albert Centre Bus Terminal. Free of cost, this is an excellent way to ensure you get to the market on time, without the worry of parking.

Ready for the market? We sure are.

Only two more months of waiting, and then we can jump for joy! Or, more accurately, jump into all the shopping we’re going to do this summer.

When: Starting every Saturday from June 6, 2026
Time: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Where: 4 St. Anne St., St. Albert, Alta.
Cost: Free
