This Toronto spot turned an iced coffee into a designer clutch and people are obsessed, Canada Reviews

23 July 20262 Mins Read

They say that coffee is essential, and so Grandma Loves You turned it into an accessory (at least for the gram). Toronto’s most popular European-style eatery is going viral for its handbag-shaped iced-coffee container!

“Would you try coffee in a bag?” The eatery asked, alongside an Instagram video of a customer strutting off with iced coffee poured in a giant, custom-made iced purse. “Should we make this available to purchase?”

And the responses were unanimous.

“yess I need a purse coffee!”

“yes please I want that purse please”

“this would sell like hot fire”

“Shut up and take my money”

Before you start planning an outfit around your morning coffee, the clutch is the latest in a series of playful social-media creations from the shop, so it’s not on the menu (yet).

In the meantime, you can grab a regular iced coffee and tons of other Grandma-approved eats from the regular menu! One of the shop’s most popular picks is the Chicken Caesar Wrap, loaded with romaine lettuce, grilled chicken, bacon, homemade croutons, Caesar sauce and Parmesan. Or try the Chef’s Choice, which comes stuffed with grilled chicken strips, avocado, veggies and Grandma’s homemade hot sauce.

There are also some less conventional creations, like the Pizza Caesar Wrap, which combines pizza toppings with romaine lettuce and Caesar dressing, or the Tunacado, served on German rye bread with Grandma’s homemade sauce and Cholula!

And this isn’t Grandma’s first foray into food fashion. People were literally stopping in the street over its luxe Caesar salad designer handbag!

Grandma Loves You has several European-inspired sandwich shops across the GTA, including 40 St Clair Ave W. Follow @grandmalovesyoutoronto for more of their cute creations.
