If you routinely travel to Las Vegas or have a trip that you want to book, we’ve got great news for you. You can officially use the Canadian dollar at par with the American dollar at three downtown hotels in Vegas.
From Jan. 22 to Aug. 31, 2026, Circa Resort and Casino, the D Las Vegas, and Golden Gate Hotel and Casino are launching the At Par program, removing the extra financial barriers facing Canadian travellers to the U.S.
No more conversion rates
Under this new program, eligible Canadian guests receive US$1 for every C$1 spent, regardless of daily exchange rates. Each dollar they spend can be used at select gaming, hotel, and beverage offerings, according to a recent press release.
This new initiative comes from the CEO of the three properties, Derek Stevens, who has strong Canadian ties himself.
“Canada has always been a part of my story, so I feel a deep connection to our Canadian visitors here in Las Vegas,” shares Derek Stevens, owner and CEO of Circa, the D and Golden Gate. “My father went to the University of Toronto, and I was raised in Grosse Pointe, Michigan, where our home looked straight across the Detroit River toward Windsor.”
Stevens’ love of hockey, Tim Hortons, and Don Cherry even inspired him to open BarCanada, a Canadian-themed hockey bar in downtown Vegas.
“At Par is about honouring that connection and removing unnecessary barriers, making sure Canadian visitors feel just as welcome downtown as they always have, without worrying about exchange rates, fine print or doing the math at the cage.”
How and where to use the offer
Canadian guests staying at Circa, the D, or Golden State receive the At Par rate upon check-in, paying the same number shown in U.S. dollars. This amount will be charged directly in Canadian dollars (no exchange rate applied) once guests confirm their Canadian citizenship with a valid passport or government-issued ID.
According to the release, this hotel offer applies to room rates only, and may be used for unlimited stays through Aug. 31, 2026.
Those who visit BarCanada at the D can also reap the benefits of the At Par program, as can visitors to Overhang at Circa and Bar Prohibition! at Golden Gate.
“Eligible Canadian guests may redeem At Par beverage pricing multiple times per visit upon verification of Canadian identification,” says the release.
About the hotels
Inspired by Vegas’ “Golden Era,” Circa is an adults-only casino-resort situated in the heart of downtown Las Vegas. It has a vintage design and upscale rooms and suites, in addition to a year-round pool, aqua theatre, a two-storey casino, and the world’s largest sportsbook.
The D also features a two-floor casino, with recently remodelled rooms all located on the famed Fremont Street.
Last but certainly not least, Golden Gate dates all the way back to 1906 and the birth of what’s become Las Vegas today. The iconic hotel is Las Vegas’ first official address at One Fremont Street, and has seen the city shine in every era, from the roaring ’20s to the “Rat Pack era.”
Time to save up your Canadian cash for your next trip to Vegas.
