Hilton has opened Tru by Hilton Distrito Palmerola, introducing the brand to Honduras for the first time. The 103-room property is located within Distrito Palmerola, adjacent to Palmerola International Airport (XPL) in Comayagua.
Tru by Hilton Distrito Palmerola is the first internationally branded hotel in Comayagua. Amenities include complimentary hot breakfast, high-speed Wi-Fi, a fitness center, an outdoor heated swimming pool, onsite parking, and shuttle service. The hotel features a lobby with designated zones for work, dining, and social activities, as well as a 24/7 market for snacks and beverages.
The hotel incorporates sustainability features, including a rooftop solar panel installation designed to generate approximately 250,000 kWh annually and avoid releasing more than 120 metric tons of CO₂ per year. The property also includes fresh air recirculation systems.
Recent regional openings for the Tru by Hilton brand include Tru by Hilton Criciúma in Brazil, Tru by Hilton Monterrey Fundidora in Mexico, Tru by Hilton Cali Sur in Colombia, Tru by Hilton Chillán Ferrat in Chile, Tru by Hilton Chapeco in Brazil, Tru by Hilton Saltillo in Mexico, and Tru by Hilton Puebla Angelopolis. Further expansion is planned in Mexico and additional countries.
