The U.S. hotel industry recorded positive year-over-year results for the week ending July 4, 2026, according to CoStar data.
For the week of June 28 through July 4, occupancy reached 63.5%, up 3.9% from the comparable week in 2025. Average daily rate (ADR) rose 6.7% to $167.95, and revenue per available room (RevPAR) increased 10.9% to $106.66.
Among the Top 25 Markets, Washington, D.C. reported the highest increases in ADR, up 34.8% to $209.40, and RevPAR, up 57.3% to $149.78, driven by the America 250 celebrations.
Detroit posted the largest occupancy gain, rising 23.7% to 63.4%, and the second-highest jump in RevPAR, up 41.0% to $76.87.
Philadelphia, which hosted America 250 events and a World Cup match, registered the second-largest increase in ADR, up 29.7% to $188.91, and the third-highest lift in RevPAR, up 38.9% to $123.35.
Overall, 21 of the Top 25 Markets saw an increase in RevPAR compared to the same week in 2025.
