Gen Z may say eyeshadow is out, but I, a millennial, firmly disagree. Eyeshadow is truly one of the most fun parts of makeup application. There are so many unique looks you can achieve with different colors and application techniques. Eyeshadow is in style forever, and I will die on this hill.

Of course, to get perfect eyeshadow application and wear, your base is key. Some people prefer to just use concealer as their eyeshadow base, and that is totally fine. But there are actually products available that are formulated specifically for priming the eye for shadow, enhancing longevity and application.

And right now, Ulta is selling a new eyeshadow priming product that has shoppers talking. From the popular beauty brand Morphe, the company has just launched a series of new priming cream eyeshadows.

Available in seven different matte shades, the Solo Artist Priming Cream Eyeshadow is easy to apply. You can either use a brush or your finger to swipe on your eyelids. It works the same way as MAC’s Paint Pot Cream Eyeshadows, except MAC’s are almost 3x the price. Morphe’s retails for only $10.

Many shoppers report that Morphe’s Solo Artist Priming Cream Eyeshadows blend easily and enjoy the texture of the product as well as its longevity.

“The creamy texture goes on nice and smooth and it still blended wonderfully which was the one thing I was really concerned about. I would love to see them get more shades of this so entire eye looks can be created using this product,” said one reviewer in a five-star rating review of the cream eyeshadow.

Another reviewer loved the cream eyeshadow for its “weightless” feel.

“It is weightless and comfortable to wear all day. The color is creamy and lasts all day. Easy to apply. I like to use my finger tips and a little goes a long way.”
