Vancouver’s container market soon kicks off with 30+ new vendors and a waterfront bar

23 April 20263 Mins Read

Vancouver’s open-air container market is back before April’s end, and you won’t want to miss it. Now in its third year, the free-to-enter downtown market and hub has over 30 new vendors this year, in addition to live entertainment and community events throughout the summer.

The Sipping Container Bar is also back, now with extended hours and a big screen for World Cup matches.

“As the world arrives in Vancouver, we’re inviting everyone to dive into the heart of our city,” says Patrick Carnegie, co-founder of Junction Public Market. “We’ve curated a premier selection of local flavours, makers and indie talent in a stunning port-side setting that captures the essence of the urban West Coast experience. With a mix of full-season and rotating vendors, there’s always something new to discover throughout the season.”

Visitors can soon look forward to happy hour from Tuesday to Friday from 4 to 7 p.m., extended Friday and Saturday hours from June through August, live daily World Cup match screenings, and live entertainment every weekend starting Mother’s Day (Sunday, May 10).

Vendors will operate from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., with the Sipping Container Bar open until 7 p.m. and later on select evenings.

You’ll also find a variety of interactive selfie installations to capture some memories during your visit, including a large Vancouver-branded heart, three murals by local artists, and a large soccer-themed Vancouver sign — perfect for the influx of World Cup tourists.

Over 30 new food and artisan vendors
