From massive returning heavyweights like Bridgerton and Wednesday to brand new projects, Netflix’s 2026 production slate is officially moving at warp speed.

2026 is already flying by! We’ve already seen a lot of big series go into production so far this year, but there’s plenty more on the horizon. Below, we’ll take a look at the biggest and most notable shows and movies currently filming and what’s about to film next, beginning in the Spring or early Summer.
Important note: Filming dates are highly subject to change. The dates below can shift dramatically as we’ve covered over the years. We’ll also be focusing on English-language titles.
Netflix Series Already in Production
- A Different World – This rebooted sequel series began filming in early February and runs through the end of April in Atlanta, Georgia.
- All The Sinners Bleed (Season 1) – Filming in Atlanta, this new series has had an extensive shoot since November and is set to run through mid-May 2026.
- Assassin’s Creed (Season 1) – Filming in Rome, Italy, this new series got into production in March 2026 and will run through mid-October.
- Breakers – Anthony Starr headlines this new Australian series filming in Perth, which began filming earlier in the year and will wrap soon.
- Bridgerton (Season 5) – In production as of late March in the United Kingdom, filming is expected to wrap by early Fall 2026 for a 2027 return.

- Kennedy – Filming in the United Kingdom, this highly anticipated biopic series covers the Kennedy dynasty, and we’ve already had lots of BTS first looks as well as the full cast list. It’s filming in the UK through early June 2026.
- Leanne (Season 2) – Tickets recently went up for the series finale, which is due to tape in Los Angeles on April 10th. It’s been in production since the beginning of the year.
- Nobody Wants This (Season 3) – In production as of March 9th in Los Angeles, filming will run through mid-May.
- One Piece (Season 3) – Beginning production in South Africa just before season 2 dropped, our understanding is that cameras will roll through August.
- Peaky 1954 – The sequel series kicked off filming in the UK in February/March, although we don’t know how long it’ll be in production for.
- Poser – Lauren Lungerich’s new drama series began production in Los Angeles in late March and will run through early June.
- Rabbit, Rabbit – Adam Driver and Regina Hall’s new series is filming in New Jersey as of mid-March and will run through late June.
- Supacell (Season 2) – As of late March, this return series is still filming in London (per Film London), but it’s unclear when filming will wrap.
- Untitled Hockey Project / Sticks – Michelle Monaghan’s new drama series has been in production in Vancouver since mid-January and will wrap in early May 2026. Alonso Ruizpalacios and Trey Edward Shults are the latest directors to be on the roster.
- The Boys From Brazil (Season 1) – Jeremy Strong confirmed our earlier reporting that filming was underway across two continents back in January. Filming was originally scheduled to wrap in July with stop-offs in Spain, Germany, Brazil, and the United Kingdom.
- The Diplomat (Season 4) – Already in production in the UK and New York since late last year, filming continues through early June 2026.
- The Lincoln Lawyer (Season 5) – Los Angeles continues to be the filming home for this detective drama series and will run through mid-July.
- Untamed (Season 2) – Filming in Hawaii for its season 2, the new season will continue filming through mid-June 2026.

- Wednesday (Season 3) – Going under the working title of Briarcliff in Ireland, the current wrap date is set for May 2026, although it’s reportedly going to be going on much longer.
Netflix Series Heading into Production
- 3 Body Problem (Season 3) – Originally planned to film back-to-back with season 2, we know season 2 has wrapped, but no start date for S3 just yet, although we suspect it won’t be too long.
- Bet (Season 2) – Returning to Toronto, Canada, this adaptation of the anime series will get back in production this June.
- Black Mirror (Season 8) – No word on what shape the new season of Black Mirror will take, but we do know it’s eying a filming start in June with the UK as one of the locations.
- Dept. Q (Season 2) – When we last did our filming schedule, it had been reported that the return of the Scottish-based detective series would begin early in the year, but that hasn’t come to pass. Instead, the latest preliminary start date is for June 2026. Fingers crossed it happens.
- Free Bert (Season 2) – No word on an exact start date, but the return of the Bert Kreischer comedy series is expected to begin filming in the Summer in Atlanta.

- Emily in Paris (Season 6) – Confirmed for a 2026 return, production on this one was rumored to start in April, but the latest dates run from mid-May 2026 through late September. Shooting on location in Paris, France.
- Enigma Variations – Eyeing a New Jersey shoot, this limited series will begin filming in mid-June and run through mid-October.
- Forever (Season 2) – After a long wait, production is set to begin again in Los Angeles and Martha’s Vineyard from May 8th and run through September.
- God Mode – Previously known as Thumblite, this one was supposed to start production early this year but is pushed back to July. New Jersey and New York are eyed as the filming locations.
- I Suck at Girls – A broad Summer 2026 start in Los Angeles has been set for this new comedy series.
- Little House on the Prairie (Season 2) – Just before season 1 hits our screens, season 2 will be getting into production in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, from mid-June and run through to late October.
- Myron Bolitar – Harlen Coben’s US series adaptation set to film in New York- is eyeing a filming start in mid-July after a long period of waiting since its initial announcement.
- Pagans – New supernatural thriller from Josh Zetumer. Eying August 2026 filming start in New York and run through early 2027.
- Scooby Doo: Origins (Season 1) – This is a big one. Set to begin filming in Atlanta, Georgia, beginning April 27th and running through mid-September.
- The Granville Girls (Season 1) – This eight-episode new series based on the Cat Cahill novel is set to shoot from early June through late September in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
- The God of the Woods – Maya Hawke’s new drama series is eying a June filming start in New York.
- The Lord’s Day – Another British production, which is set for a UK shoot, is an adaptation of Michael Dobbs novel. It’s set to begin sometime in Spring.

- The Night Agent (Season 4) – Moving to Los Angeles, cameras are due to roll in early May and run through September.
- This Summer Will Be Different – From Dane Clark and Linsey Steward, this new series is due to begin in July and wrap up in September, with Prince Edward Island and Toronto, Ontario serving as the filming home.
- Vegas – Set to begin filming from mid-June through late November in New York.
- Virgin River (Season 8) – Renewed well ahead of season 7 streaming, season 8 of everyone’s favorite romance drama is scheduled to begin filming in Vancouver on April 22nd and run through August 10th.
Looking further ahead, How to Kill Your Family with Anna Taylor-Joy has been pushed back to September at the earliest, according to reports. There’s also a series currently labeled Project Marion due to begin in Albuquerque, NM towards the end of the year.
