IF TODAY IS YOUR BIRTHDAY

Whatever has been holding you back from doing your best creative work – be it an inner fear of failure or outside interference from rivals – will be swept away over the next 12 months. The path to success is right there in front of you.

ARIES (March 21 – April 20):

As the most ambitious sign of the zodiac you are always on the lookout for ways to make your mark on the world and one such opportunity is heading your way. Stay alert today and over the weekend and be ready to act with lightning speed.

TAURUS (April 21 – May 21):

You don’t have to let everyone know what you are up to and if you keep your plans to yourself today there is less likelihood that your rivals will be able to stand in your way. Knowledge is power, so don’t give it away.

GEMINI (May 22 – June 21):

If you say one thing today and then do something completely different you will upset your friends and lose at least one potential ally. It is of the utmost importance that you are consistent in your approach to matters both big and small.

CANCER (June 22 – July 23):

A lot has happened over the past few days and there may be a few more surprises before things begin to settle down again. You need to be on your guard on the work front because some of your colleagues may not be allies.

LEO (July 24 – Aug. 23):

If your heart is no longer in what you are working on then put it aside for a while and focus on something that interests you more. Almost certainly you will come back to it again later refreshed and brimming with new ideas.

VIRGO (Aug. 24 – Sept. 23):

You may be tempted to open up and let a friend know your deepest and darkest secrets but before you do you should take a step back and imagine how that might work out further down the line. What if you don’t remain friends forever?

LIBRA (Sept. 24 – Oct. 23):

The fact that a particular person is not doing for you what they should be doing may be worrying but the planets indicate nothing bad will come of it, so ignore their words and actions and focus on what you can do for yourself.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24 – Nov. 22):

You may think you can outsmart a business or professional rival, and maybe you can, but at some stage you are going to have to work with them so don’t make it too obvious how superior you are. The best work, as always, is teamwork.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 23 – Dec. 21):

You must resist the urge to spend money on things you don’t need to own. That applies to items with a hefty price tag, of course, but also to items that don’t cost more than a few dollars each – because those dollars will quickly add up.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22 – Jan. 20):

It’s not like you to overindulge but at some stage today or over the weekend you may get carried away and do something to excess. That may though be a good thing as afterward you will be more focused on what really matters in life.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 21 – Feb. 19):

Something you don’t want the world to know about you will become public knowledge before the start of next week, so get your poker face ready so you can pretend it’s no big deal. Then find out who was foolish enough to betray your confidence.

PISCES (Feb. 20 – Mar. 20):

The message of the stars today is that no matter how good you are at what you do you cannot afford to turn down offers of assistance. You won’t lose out by working with others – on the contrary, you will double if not triple your profits.
