IF TODAY IS YOUR BIRTHDAY

Listen to your head and your heart in equal measure this year but, if in doubt, make sure your actions are guided mainly by logic. That may mean having to disappoint a friend or loved one but you would be a fool to ignore reality.

ARIES (March 21 – April 20):

You need to get the balance right between doing too much and doing too little. Cosmic activity in the busiest area of your chart will encourage you to run here, there and everywhere over the next 24 hours, but watch out you don’t exhaust yourself.

TAURUS (April 21 – May 21):

Something you have been working on may look like a failure now but before the start of next week you will realize it is actually going quite well, so stick with it and don’t let other people’s criticisms get you down. Stay the course.

GEMINI (May 22 – June 21):

As the sun joins forces with Uranus, planet of the unexpected, today changes are more likely than not. One change in particular will get you moving again and the momentum you build up over the next 24 hours will carry you through to success.

CANCER (June 22 – July 23):

Steer clear of get-rich-quick schemes between now and the weekend because the planets warn you may be a bit gullible and agree to do something that could do your reputation major harm, while not making you a single extra cent.

LEO (July 24 – Aug. 23):

If you are called on to make some kind of sacrifice today you should do so willingly and with a smile on your face. As well as doing a huge favour for a friend you will be earning yourself cosmic merit that can be cashed in later on.

VIRGO (Aug. 24 – Sept. 23):

You may think you don’t have the necessary skill or experience to do a specific job but once you get busy you will find that it actually comes easy to you. You are capable of a whole lot more than you give yourself credit for.

LIBRA (Sept. 24 – Oct. 23):

If you believe that what you are doing is right then you must give it 100 per cent effort. Others are looking to you to provide a lead and if they see you pushing ahead fearlessly they will be inspired to do the same.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24 – Nov. 22):

You may feel a bit unsure of yourself today but that’s natural seeing as the Sun and Uranus are conspiring to disrupt your affairs. You know from long experience that if you keep going and refuse to quit you’ll win big in the end.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 23 – Dec. 21):

It may be true that your fate is in the hands of other people but there is still plenty you can do to influence your current situation. To start with you should be looking for new ways to tackle old problems. Always think outside the box.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22 – Jan. 20):

If you get the chance to put on a show on the work front today you must take it, even though you may feel a bit self-conscious about being watched. As one of the zodiac’s cardinal signs you should be courting the spotlight, not avoiding it.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 21 – Feb. 19):

Give your imagination permission to roam and don’t be afraid to follow where it leads, even if it takes you in a direction that looks a bit dangerous. With Uranus, your ruler, energized by the sun today there is no limit to what you can accomplish.

PISCES (Feb. 20 – Mar. 20):

You want to be helpful, of course, but your No. 1 duty is to make sure your own needs are taken care of. This could be one of those days when others will happily take advantage of your kindly nature, but you don’t have to let them.
