Zucchetti, the largest hotel technology provider in Italy with a growing presence globally, has deepened its strategic partnership with SiteMinder, the world’s leading AI-powered hotel commerce platform. The strategic partnership expands on the connectivity between the two companies’ platforms, by enhancing their interoperability to open new revenue opportunities for shared hotel customers across Italy and beyond.
Zucchetti serves approximately 48,500 hospitality customers worldwide across its property management systems (PMSs), central reservation system (CRS), revenue management systems and broader hospitality software portfolio. Meanwhile, SiteMinder brings together distribution, intelligence and revenue management within a single platform. SiteMinder is trusted by more than 53,000 hotels globally and supported by a network of over 2,350 partners, including Zucchetti.
As part of today’s enhanced partnership, Zucchetti’s CRS, Vertical Booking, will now integrate with SiteMinder’s platform, joining Simple Booking, Zucchetti’s internet booking engine, which has been connected to SiteMinder since 2016 and serves hundreds of joint customers. The partnership also unlocks greater capability between SiteMinder’s platform and Zucchetti’s PMS solutions. These expanded integrations will be rolled out across Italy and Spain, as well as other key markets in Europe, Asia Pacific and the Americas.
“This is a partnership we see as strategically important for the long term,” says Angelo Guaragni, CEO at Zucchetti Hospitality. “Together, Zucchetti and SiteMinder bring complementary strengths to a shared customer base in key tourism and hospitality markets around the world. Deepening our collaboration means giving our joint customers not only the flexibility to build the tech stack best suited to their needs, but access to the revenue opportunities they deserve. That is what this shared commitment is all about.”
The partnership is informed by a recent survey of 700 hoteliers across the world’s leading destination markets, where nearly 40% said fragmented systems and the complexity of adding distribution channels limited their ability to capture traveller demand. The survey also highlighted the growing importance of speed in revenue generation, with 58% considering speed-to-market – enabled by more seamless connectivity between hotel systems – as critical to capturing today’s revenue opportunities.
Jonathan Kenny, Chief Operating Officer at SiteMinder, says, “Zucchetti is a trusted name in hospitality technology, and this partnership builds on a relationship that has been delivering results for our shared customers for nearly a decade. At the core of it is a simple belief: hotels should never be held back by the technology they use. That means giving them greater freedom of choice and access to world-class technologies, so they can respond to demand as it happens and reach more travellers from the markets that matter most. The opportunity ahead for hotels is significant.”
