It may be the final week of August, but the summer vibes are still flowing. There’s still free outdoor yoga to enjoy, outdoor movies, and a couple of big-name concerts to keep your eye on. Here are 10 of the best things to do in Vancouver this week (Aug. 24-28).

If your favourite way to unwind is on a yoga mat, preferably outdoors, then we have just the summer activity for you. The Lululemon Summer Yoga Series is back every Tuesday until Sept. 8, and it’s completely free to reserve your spot.

When: Every Tuesday until Sept. 8, 2026
Time: 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Where: 15 Wallace Mews, North Vancouver
Cost: Free admission

If you’re looking to catch a movie at Stanley Park, Evo Summer Cinema on Tuesdays is the event to mark down. This week, Interstellar is screening at the Ceperley Park Playground on the massive, 40-foot screen.

When: Tuesday, Aug. 25 and Tuesdays until Sept. 1, 2026
Time: 9 to 11 p.m.
Where: 8701 Stanley Park Dr.
Cost: Free admission

The Polygon has brought back its popular outdoor movie nights this summer, and its next movie night is coming up this week on Thursday, Aug. 27. For this final night, the audience gets to vote on which movie they watch: When We Were Kings or Enter the Dragon.

Time: 7 to 11 p.m.

J. Cole is bringing his The Fall-Off Tour to Vancouver’s Rogers Arena this week, and there will be an official after-party at Fortune.

When: Monday, Aug. 24, 2026

The iconic Shakespeare comedy The Merry Wives of Windsor is kicking off this year’s Bard on the Beach program, set in the community athletic centre of a (fictional) Vancouver suburb that happens to be obsessed with soccer. There are also a handful of other Shakespeare-inspired productions to keep an eye out for if you’re ready to check out what’s onstage next: Macbeth (now until Sept. 18), Goblin:Oedipus (now until Sept. 19), and Antigone (now until Sept. 18).

When: Shows throughout July, August, and September
Time: Showtimes at 2 and 7:30 p.m.

All week long, the Vancouver Canadians are up against the Spokane Indians at the Nat.

When: Games daily from Tuesday, Aug. 25 to Friday, Aug. 28, 2026

Iconic indie rock band The Strokes is bringing their Reality Awaits North America Tour to Rogers Arena in support of their latest album, Reality Awaits.

When: Thursday, Aug. 27, 2026

The beloved Shipyards Night Market is back every Friday until September, providing the perfect opportunity to hit some patios or breweries after work, enjoy some live music, and snag some food truck eats at Shipbuilders Square.

When: Every Friday until Sept. 12, 2026
Time: 3 to 10 p.m.
Where: The Shipyards, North Vancouver
Cost: Free admission

Fans can dive into how both early adjustments and more recent innovations have changed the way we experience professional soccer. This Science World exhibition also highlights the host nations of the FIFA World Cup 2026, with objects connected to Canada’s recent international football history on display.

When: Friday, May 15, 2026, to Sept. 7, 2026
Time: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Where: 1455 Quebec St. 
Cost: $37.50 per adult

The Vancouver Maritime Museum has officially partnered with Vancouver by Sea to launch a new, immersive sailing experience that explores Vancouver’s fascinating maritime past and present, and the views alone are well worth it. The museum-to-yacht experience begins this Thursday, June 11.

When: Select Thursdays and Sundays in June, July, August, and September, starting June 11, 2026
Time: 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., or 2 to 5 p.m.
Where: The yacht departs from Vancouver Maritime Museum — 1905 Ogden Ave., Vancouver
