Netflix Losing 10 Big Series Throughout February Including HBO Series ‘Warrior’

21 January 20267 Mins Read

It’s time for another TV roundup of what’s leaving Netflix, and the end of January and February is seeing some heavy hitters departing the service. Shows borrowed from networks like NBC, Fox, and HBO are all up for renewal. As licensing deals strike their expiration dates, we’re seeing a significant wave of removals this January and February.

Note that these removals are all planned for departure from Netflix US – other regions will vary. For the full list of US departures for February 2026, keep it locked here on What’s on Netflix.

Please note: All removals from Netflix are subject to change due to licensing agreements. Netflix may extend licenses or remove titles earlier than listed. Removal dates may also vary by region.

Leaving Jan 28.

The Lazarus Project

This time-bending sci-fi thriller from the UK follows George, an app developer who discovers he is reliving the same six months over and over again, eventually leading him to a secret organization that turns back time to save the world from extinction. Starring Paapa Essiedu (I May Destroy You) and Anjli Mohindra, the series received critical acclaim for its fresh take on the time-loop genre. It originally aired on Sky Max in the UK and TNT in the US before making its brief appearance on Netflix following its addition in July of last year.

Leaving Jan 29.

Prison Break

A massive hit during its original run on Fox, this serialized drama follows Michael Scofield, a structural engineer who deliberately gets himself incarcerated at Fox River State Penitentiary to break out his brother, Lincoln Burrows, who is on death row for a crime he didn’t commit. The series stars Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell as the brothers at the heart of the conspiracy. The show, which originally aired from 2005 to 2017, enjoyed a massive resurgence in popularity on Netflix but has now after a lengthy window.

This is the latest Disney departure from the string of titles from ABC, Fox, and FX to have arrived as part of a 2024 deal, with each show staying on Netflix for 18 months.

Leaving Feb 5.

Alone (Australia)

The Australian spin-off of the popular American survival competition series drops participants into the rugged Tasmanian wilderness—completely isolated from one another and the outside world. With only ten survival items and their own camera gear, they must withstand the harsh elements and isolation for a chance to win $250,000. Originally airing on SBS in Australia, this version brings a unique set of environmental challenges compared to its North American counterpart.

On the bright side, if you’re a fan of the format, the US show’s variation is arriving on Netflix US in February 2026.

Leaving Feb 5.

Love/Life

This romantic anthology series, which originally served as a launch title for the HBO Max platform, explores the journey from first love to last love, with each season focusing on a different protagonist’s quest for a partner. The first season stars Anna Kendrick, while the second season shifts focus to William Jackson Harper (The Good Place). Despite being a Max Original, the show found a second life on Netflix after being removed from its home platform, but its licensing window has now come to a close.

The license, like many on this list, was on an especially short window, having now streamed for only 6 months since its arrival in August.

Leaving Feb 13.

Nadiya’s ‘Time to Eat’ and ‘Bakes’

Amongst the Netflix Original departures we’ve already covered leaving throughout 2026 are two series with Nadiya, one of the contestants from an earlier season of The Great British Bake-Off (Baking Show for Americans). Following her winning over the judges in the tent, she went on to become a presenter for the BBC on a number of shows, including these two titles, which will both be leaving on the same day, multiple years after they were added to the streamer.

  • Nadiya’s Time to Eat (7 episodes) – “On this cooking show, Nadiya Hussain serves up delicious shortcuts, vital ingredients, and fast favorites — perfect for today’s time-strapped families.”
  • Nadiya Bakes (8 episodes) – “Delightful cakes and heavenly breads pop from the oven as Nadiya Hussain returns to baking, her happy place, and spotlights creative kindred spirits.”

Leaving Feb 15.

Quantum Leap

Set 30 years after Dr. Sam Beckett stepped into the Quantum Leap accelerator and vanished, this 2022 revival follows a new team assembled to restart the project in hopes of understanding the mysteries behind the machine and the man who created it. Raymond Lee stars as Dr. Ben Song, the new physicist who finds himself leaping through time. The series originally aired on NBC for two seasons before being cancelled and subsequently licensed to Netflix.

Another very short window here to watch on Netflix, given that the show was only added in August.

Leaving Feb 17.

Warrior

Based on the writings of martial arts legend Bruce Lee, this gritty crime drama is set during the Tong Wars of San Francisco’s Chinatown in the late 19th century. Andrew Koji stars as Ah Sahm, a martial arts prodigy who emigrates from China and becomes a hatchet man for one of Chinatown’s most powerful crime families. The series has had a complex journey, originally airing on Cinemax for two seasons before moving to Max for its third, and finally finding a wider audience on Netflix.

There was some hope Netflix could save the show, although one star confirmed that any hopes of a Netflix Season 4 revival were ultimately dashed last year.

Leaving Feb 19.

Extant

Halle Berry stars in this sci-fi mystery drama as Molly Woods, an astronaut who returns home from a year-long solo mission in space to discover she is inexplicably pregnant. As she struggles to reconnect with her family, her experiences in space lead to events that ultimately change the course of human history. Produced by Steven Spielberg, the series ran for two seasons on CBS and features a supporting cast that includes Goran Višnjić and Jeffrey Dean Morgan.

Once again, another series is leaving after just six months, with the series having touched down on Netflix in August.

Leaving Feb 26.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine

This beloved workplace sitcom follows the exploits of the detectives of the 99th Precinct of the NYPD, led by the immature but talented Jake Peralta (Andy Samberg) and his stoic Captain, Raymond Holt (Andre Braugher). Known for its ensemble cast and cold opens, the series originally aired on Fox before being saved by NBC for its final seasons.

Netflix has held streaming rights in various regions for years, but the license for this comedy favorite is expiring first in the US, which is particularly sad given that the US had access to only four seasons as of late, with the shuffle that took place in January of last year.

Looking ahead to the coming months as we approach Spring, titles like Van Helsing, Franklin & Bash, and Black Sails will all come up for renewal. Over the Summer, we’ll see titles like Animal Kingdom, Blindsport, and a number of AMC titles up for renewal. We’ll keep you posted, as always, on our Leaving Soon from Netflix section.
