Evolution Investment Fund acquires London Marriott Grosvenor Square from Joint Treasure
Evolution Investment Fund, a new fund established in 2025 and backed by the UAE’s Shanshal family, has acquired the long leasehold interest in the five-star, 237-room London Marriott Hotel Grosvenor Square in the UK from Hong Kong-based private equity firm Joint Treasure. The property is situated in Mayfair, between Grosvenor Square and Oxford Street, and the freehold is owned by Grosvenor Estates, controlled by the Duke of Westminster. Joint Treasure acquired a 43-year ground lease in the property in 2014 for £125 million. Evolution has also acquired, in a separate transaction, a fully consented development site at 8-10 Grafton Street and 22-24 Barlow Place in Mayfair. That scheme includes a proposed 94-room hotel and six luxury residences. Evolution has reportedly committed approximately £1.1 billion across the two acquisitions, including the associated development costs.
Blasson Property Investments acquires the Ibiza Corso Hotel in Spain
Spanish real estate investment company Blasson Property Investments, through its Veltaro division, has acquired the four-star, 175-room Ibiza Corso Hotel & Spa in Ibiza, Spain. The property is situated on the eastern side of Ibiza Port, opposite Ibza Town and with views of the Dalt Vila. Blasson plans to invest approximately €40 million (€228,600 per room) to extensively renovate and reposition the hotel as a five-star, 154-room Autograph Collection property. The redevelopment will introduce new food and beverage venues and will also house the Lío Ibiza nightclub. German operator Arabella Hospitality, through its Spanish subsidiary, will manage the hotel. It is scheduled to reopen in spring 2027 as Hotel Corso Puerto Ibiza, Autograph Collection.
Solestia Group acquires three hotels in Cannes, France
French owner-operator Solestia Group has acquired three four-star hotels (106 rooms) in Cannes, France. The acquisition includes the 46-room Hotel Verlaine, the 31-room Hotel Renoir and the 28-room Hôtel Cézanne. All three hotels are situated near the Croisette and Rue d’Antibes. Solestia plans to invest €500,000 (€4,800 per room) into the refurbishment of the three hotels. The family-owned group was founded in October 2025, and this marks their first acquisition.
Timeless Collection acquires Stoke Rochford Hall Hotel in UK
Hotel investment company The Timeless Collection, part of London-based single family office LSG Holdings, has acquired the very long leasehold interest in the four-star, 110-room Stoke Rochford Hall Hotel in Lincolnshire, UK, from British owner-operator Talash Hotels Group. The Grade I listed property was built in 1843 and is situated within 28 acres of gardens and woodlands, halfway between Nottingham and Peterborough. The hotel includes a gym, swimming pool, several meeting rooms and a self-contained conference centre. The acquisition was completed on the basis of the remaining term of a 999-year leasehold interest (961 years remaining).
