This fairytale resort in Alberta feels like a real-life storybook

1 April 20263 Mins Read

Once upon a time, tucked away in the mountains of Alberta, a storybook escape came to life. Charmed Resorts in Crowsnest Pass is a one-of-a-kind fairytale getaway featuring handcrafted cottages, cozy amenities, and outdoor experiences, making it truly unforgettable.

About the resort

What began as a creative vision for Tyson and Audrey Leavitt has now grown into a whimsical escape that fosters imagination and connection. The journey started with a Midsummer Cottage, a magical retreat inspired by the idea of creating a home for fairies in the mountains.

Today, Charmed Resorts is home to over 16 handcrafted cottages, each thoughtfully designed with intricate details that bring a sense of fairytale charm to every stay.

Guests can stay in themed spaces like the Gingerbread Cottage, Snow White’s Cottage, Winnie’s Hollow, and even Hook’s Pirate Ship, with each one offering its own storybook charm.

Located in Crowsnest Pass, Charmed Resorts sits in the heart of the Canadian Rockies, surrounded by stunning mountain views. The resort is about a 2.5- to three-hour drive from Calgary, making it an easy escape for a weekend getaway or a longer stay.

A second location in Mulhurst Bay is already built and features the same whimsical design, expanding the experience and offering guests in northern Alberta a unique place to stay.

Beyond the resort

A stay at Charmed Resorts is about more than just the cottages. Guests can enjoy guided cross-country ski tours when conditions allow, or take advantage of their concierge services that help simplify planning and organizing activities, reservations, and rentals.

The little moments are what make the stay truly memorable, from enjoying house-made hot chocolate to roasting marshmallows by a toasty fire. Evenings at the resort are designed to feel slow and relaxing, whether you’re soaking in the hot tub under the open sky or gathering around the fire.

The resort is built for all kinds of travellers, including Families, couples, friends, and solo travellers. Select cottages are also dog-friendly, so even your furry friends can be included in the experience.

Charmed Resorts is the kind of place that makes you want to pause and appreciate the little things again. Between the cottages, the details, and the overall vibes, it’s the type of spot you’ll be thinking about long after you visit.
