In Brief: HFTP, Kalibri, and the Asian American Hotel Owners Association (AAHOA) have announced the expansion of their partnership to make the Professional Certificate in Hotel Profit Analysis (CHPA) more widely accessible to hospitality professionals worldwide.
The CHPA program, developed by HFTP, Kalibri, and AAHOA, provides hotel professionals with a standardized framework, shared metrics, and methodologies for profit management. The expansion follows the program’s debut at AAHOACON, where it received a strong response from hotel owners and operators.
Through HFTP’s global professional development and accreditation platform, the organizations will offer the CHPA certificate to hotel owners, operators, finance professionals, commercial leaders, and management teams. The program aims to improve profitability and asset performance through a common framework and practical methodologies.
The CHPA certificate focuses on four core areas that influence hotel profitability: revenue acquisition and retention, labor optimization, financial fluency, and operational efficiency. Participants will receive training in methodologies, metrics, analytical frameworks, and real-world case studies related to profit management, helping them gain fluency in key performance metrics and analytical processes.
The certificate is intended for on-property and above-property management professionals responsible for hotel operations, commercial performance, finance and accounting, ownership oversight, or asset performance. The program is designed to align multidisciplinary teams and create a shared understanding of hotel profitability.
CHPA serves as the foundation of a broader professional development pathway, with advanced coursework planned for those seeking deeper expertise in specific disciplines.
The CHPA program is in its final development phase, with AAHOA continuing to provide feedback as the launch partner to ensure the curriculum addresses the needs of hotel ownership and management teams.
The finalized CHPA program is expected to be available in September 2026 and will be introduced to a broader audience through HFTP’s education platform and industry network. Both HFTP and Kalibri will offer the certificate through their respective channels, providing multiple pathways for learners to access the program.
Those interested in learning more about CHPA can sign up to receive updates and be notified when enrollment opens.
