First Investors, the investment arm of First Hospitality, has acquired the Cambria Hotel Milwaukee Downtown from a financial institution. The company plans to renovate and reposition the property over the next year.

The Cambria Hotel Milwaukee Downtown opened in 2019 as the first Cambria hotel in Milwaukee. The property features 132 guestrooms, including king rooms, double queen rooms, and one-bedroom suites. Amenities include the 414 Bar + Kitchen, which serves breakfast, dinner, cocktails, and local craft beer, as well as an indoor heated pool, fitness center, outdoor patio, grab-and-go market, and guestrooms equipped with mini-refrigerators, microwaves, HDTVs, ergonomic workspaces, and Bluetooth-enabled vanity mirrors.

The hotel offers more than 1,800 square feet of flexible meeting and event space, accommodating up to 205 guests with divisible meeting rooms for corporate gatherings, social events, and group business.

The acquisition expands First Investors’ portfolio of hospitality assets across the United States. The company will continue deploying the GP Fund alongside existing capital partners and other investors.
