Kaya acquires ME Barcelona from Actual Capital

Turkish owner-operator Kaya Hotels & Resorts has acquired the five-star, 164-room ME Barcelona hotel in Spain from Spanish real estate developer Actual Capital for an amount reported to be around €100 million (€610,000 per room). The property is situated in the prime centre of Barcelona, just off Passeig de Gràcia and only some three minutes walk from Placa de Catalunya. The hotel, which opened in 2021, includes a restaurant, two bars and eight meeting rooms. From 2028, Kaya plan to operate the hotel as the Kaya Palazzo Barcelona. 

First Sponsor and partners acquire Andaz Amsterdam from Invesco

Singapore-based investor and developer First Sponsor Group Limited, together with a consortium of investors, has acquired the five-star, 122-room Andaz Amsterdam Prinsengracht in the Netherlands from global investment manager Invesco Real Estate’s European Hotel Fund (EHF) for €93.5m (€766,000 per room). The property is located in Amsterdam’s historic canal belt near the Nine Streets district and Dam Square, and includes 1,374 sqm of leased office space. The hotel includes a restaurant, bar and seven meeting rooms, and is operated by Hyatt Hotels under a long-term lease agreement until 2042. First Sponsor holds a 33% equity interest in the acquisition. 

LFPI acquires three hotels in Strasbourg from HK Group

LFPI Hôtels Gestion, the hotel management arm of French asset manager LFPI, has reportedly acquired a portfolio of three three-star hotels (125 rooms) in Strasbourg in the north-east of France, from French owner-operator HK Group. The portfolio includes the 47-room Hotel Victoria, the 45-room Hôtel Strasbourg Le Kléber and the 33-room Hôtel Roses. All three hotels are situated in Strasbourg’s city centre and include a breakfast restaurant. 

Fattal acquires long-term leasehold interest in The Dilly hotel in London

Israeli owner-operator Fattal Hotel Group has acquired the long leasehold interest in the five-star, 283-room The Dilly hotel in London, UK, for £66.5 million (£235,000 per room). Fattal acquired the hotel’s operations in 2022 for £90 million (318,000 per room) from Archer Capital, owned by Singapore’s sovereign wealth fund GIC and Dutch pension fund manager APG. The property is situated on London’s Piccadilly behind Regent Street. The hotel includes a restaurant, bar, seven meeting rooms and spa with swimming pool, and is currently undergoing a phased renovation due for completion in 2028. 

Leonardo acquires Hilton Evian-les-Bains in France

Leonardo Hotels, the European division of the Israeli owner-operator Fattal Hotel Group, has acquired the four-star, 170-room Hilton Evian-les-Bains in France. The property is situated on the southern shores of Lake Geneva, around an hour’s drive from the city of Geneva. The hotel includes a restaurant, bar and seven meeting rooms. Leonardo plans to extensively renovate the hotel before rebranding it as the NYX Hotel Evian-les-Bains by Leonardo Hotels. 

Grupo Inversor Hesperia acquires La Zambra Resort in Malaga from Intriva

Spanish owner-operator Grupo Inversor Hesperia (GIHSA) has acquired the five-star, 197-room La Zambra Resort – The Unbound Collection by Hyatt in Malaga, Spain, from London-based private equity firm Intriva Capital. The property is situated in Andalusia on the Costa del Sol, a thirty-minute drive south of Malaga-Costa del Sol Airport. The hotel includes three restaurants, a bar, nine meeting rooms and a 2,000 sqm spa. Intriva acquired the hotel in 2019, completed a comprehensive renovation, and reopened it in 2022. 

Meridia Capital acquires Ibis Madrid Alcorcon Tresaguas in Spain from Essendi

Spanish private equity firm Meridia Capital has acquired the two-star, 157-room Ibis Madrid Alcorcon Tresaguas in Spain from French owner-operator Essendi. The hotel includes a breakfast restaurant and bar and is situated in Alcorcón, a suburban municipality 15 kms southwest of Madrid city centre. Following the acquisition, Spanish operator Continuum Hotel Group will take over the hotel’s operations and continue to operate it under the Ibis brand. 

Capital Hospitality Europe acquires Hotel Antin Saint Georges in Paris

French asset management and investment company Capital Hospitality Europe (CHE), together with private investors, has acquired the two-star, 36-room Hotel Antin Saint Georges in Paris, France. The hotel includes a breakfast restaurant and is situated in Paris’ 9th district halfway between the Gare du Nord train station and Palais Garnier. CHE plans to refurbish the asset and reposition it as an upscale boutique hotel. 

University College Birmingham acquires The Cube hotel in Birmingham

The University College Birmingham has acquired the four-star, 52-room The Cube hotel in Birmingham, UK. The property is situated near the Birmingham New Street train station and includes a Marco Pierre White restaurant. The hotel closed in June 2026 and the acquisition forms part of the University’s £15 million hospitality investment programme, with plans to transform the property into a commercial training hotel for hospitality students.
