Free Easter events in Calgary you can check out this weekend

If you’re spending Easter weekend in Calgary and are looking to keep things budget-friendly, there are plenty of free activities happening around the city! From family-friendly events to seasonal fun, here are some great ways to enjoy the long weekend without spending a dime.

Head over to Bowness Park for the 4th annual Easter Eggstravaganza, where families can enjoy free admission, Easter Bunny photos, and loot bags for the first 100 families.

When: Saturday, April 4, 2026
Time: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Where: 7904 43rd Ave. NW, Calgary, Alta.
Cost: Free

Head over to Marda Loop for EGGFEST 2026, a neighbourhood-wide Easter egg hunt featuring up to 40 local businesses. Kick things off at Bunny HQ, grab your map, and collect eggs as you explore.

When: Saturday, April 4, 2026
Time: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Where: 3546 Garrison Gate SW, Calgary, Alta.
Cost: Free

Hop on over to Deerfoot City for a free Easter adventure. Grab your map, collect stamps from participating stores, and fill up your basket for a special treat. Plus, don’t miss the chance to meet the Easter Bunny.

Time: 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Where: Deerfoot City – 901 64th Ave. NE, Calgary, Alta.
Cost: Free

Get ready for some eggstreme fun at Capitol Hill this weekend. Expect pony rides, live magic, princess meet-and-greets, a DJ, a beer garden, and so much more. This family-friendly event has something for everyone.

Where: 1521 21st Ave. NW, Calgary, Alta.

Free photos with the Easter Bunny are available at Bass Pro Shops, and it’s the perfect way to capture some Easter memories with the family. Be sure to reserve your spot in advance, as they tend to fill up quickly.

Time: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Where: 851 64th Ave. NE, Calgary, Alta.
Cost: Free
