Give Your Kitchen a Cute Upgrade With Target’s $8 Floral Potholder Set

A kitchen doesn’t need a full redo to feel a little more pulled together. Sometimes, the smallest swaps, especially the ones that sit right out in the open, can give the room an entirely different mood. That’s where pretty kitchen textiles come in, and Target has a particularly charming little option for anyone who likes their practical pieces to have some personality.

The new Mini Block Print Floral Potholders by Threshold set costs just $8, and they bring a touch of garden charm to a kitchen staple that doesn’t always get much attention. The set includes two square potholders in a green hue, each featuring a floral block print pattern on one side and a pleated design on the other.

Threshold Potholder Mini Block Print Floral Green, 2-Pack, $8 at Target

At 8 by 8 inches, they’re small enough to keep within easy reach without taking over your counter or drawer space but are large enough to keep your hands safe. And because they have hanging loops, they can also become part of your kitchen decor rather than something you hurriedly toss aside after pulling a casserole from the oven.

The floral pattern is the real star, in my opinion. Instead of the typical solid-colored kitchen linen, the print gives these potholders a collected, slightly vintage-inspired feel that could work nicely with everything from wood cutting boards and woven baskets to colorful dishes and other botanical pieces.

They’re also made from 100% cotton and are machine washable, which is a particularly useful feature for something that will inevitably encounter a few cooking mishaps.

And while $8 isn’t exactly a big splurge, these are the kind of inexpensive kitchen essentials that can make everyday routines feel a little more considered. Pair them with coordinating towels, a pretty utensil crock or even a small vase of flowers to create a cohesive corner in a room you frequent multiple times a day.

In other words, there’s no need to repaint the cabinets or replace the countertops when a little floral flair will do.
