If you’re wondering how to sell cars in Forza Horizon 6, you probably aren’t alone because it isn’t quite as simple as selling them back to the game and receiving a flat fee. Forza Horizon 6 has an economy, which means the only way to sell cars is to other players, and even though credits aren’t too tricky to come by, you need to sell your vehicles at a fair price for other players to want to buy them.

How to sell cars at the auction house in Forza Horizon 6
Rather than selling cars at the push of a button, you need to list them for sale via the auction house. Other players will then bid on your car, if it’s of interest, and after the auction finishes, it will be sold. (Or not, if you didn’t receive any bids.)
If you want to sell one of your cars, navigate to “Buy & Sell” on the main menu. Select the “Auction House” option and choose “Start Auction.” From here, you can choose any car you have in your garage to put up for sale.
Hovering over one of your owned cars will tell you its value in the bottom left, but you’ll likely want to start your auction at a lower price than that. Every auction must have a buyout price too, which is a flat fee potential buyers can choose to pay to skip the bidding process. For most cars, the buyout price will not be more than its value, but this is only a general rule of thumb. If your car was only available for a limited amount of time, its value will be much higher.
Once you’ve selected which car you want to sell and chosen “Auction Car,” you can choose the starting price, buyout price, and auction length. If you’re having a hard time choosing a price point, make sure to check other auctions for your car, and try to set a comparable price.
When confirmed, your car will be up for sale and can be found by other players searching for auctions. You can see your own auction under the “My Auctions” screen in the auction house.
If you simply want to clear space in your garage and not go through the hassle of selling them, you can choose the option to remove the car from your garage or gift it away via “Gift Drop” in the main menu. However, you will not receive any credits for this, and you’ll need to unlock or buy the car again in the future if you want it back.
