HSMAI DC’s DMV Commercial Leadership Forum Will Address How Integrated Hospitality Organizations Can Drive Performance – Image Credit HSMAI
The DMV Commercial Leadership Forum, to be hosted next month by the Washington, D.C., chapter of the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International, will bring together current and emerging hospitality leaders in sales, marketing, revenue management, distribution and commercial technology to discuss how integrated commercial organizations can drive stronger performance.
The event will be held Oct. 7 at the MGM National Harbor Hotel & Casino in Oxon Hill, Maryland, featuring Lori Kiel, Pyramid Global Hospitality senior vice president of revenue management; Gissell Moronta, Atrium Hospitality senior vice president of sales & marketing; Ajay Aluri, associate professor at West Virginia University and founding director, Nemacolin Hospitality Innovation & Technology Lab, West Virginia University; Amanda Voss, HSMAI Foundation chair; Michael Goldrich, Vivander Advisors founder & chief advisor; and Brooke Holmes-Roberts, IHG Hotels & Resorts regional director, commercial strategy – premium brands.
In addition to a keynote presentation focused on the future of commercial leadership, the DMV Commercial Leadership Forum will feature a Leadership Spotlight fireside chat exploring how the hospitality industry can prepare and position the next generation of commercial leaders. Other sessions will examine how commercial disciplines and the technology that supports them align or fall short, including owner, brand and operator expectations and where integration breaks down; a hands-on working session on the practical application of artificial intelligence; and a closing panel bringing together perspectives from across the commercial organization. Attendees are highly encouraged to bring their laptops for the hands-on working session with Dr. Aluri.
“This program will move beyond functional silos to focus on the leadership, alignment and decision-making required to succeed in an increasingly connected commercial environment,” said Jeremy Huvard, Donohoe Hospitality Services vice president of sales and marketing and HSMAI DC chapter president. “Attendees will hear perspectives from industry leaders, explore the forces shaping hotel performance and leave with practical ideas they can apply within their own organizations.”
Sign-in will begin Oct. 7 at 7:30 a.m. at the MGM National Harbor. Forum will begin at 8 a.m. and conclude at 1 p.m. Cost is $55 for HSMAI members and $75 for nonmembers. Click HERE to register.
