IHG Hotels & Resorts has expanded its Vignette Collection portfolio in Portugal with the signing of Esperança Hotel, Vignette Collection in Braga. The addition brings IHG’s total open and pipeline Vignette Collection hotels in Portugal to six. The new property will be located in the city centre of Braga and will feature 58 keys. The hotel will be developed by converting two existing buildings.
Esperança Hotel, Vignette Collection is owned by Hotel Janes LDA and will be managed by Amazing Evolution. The opening is scheduled for September 2026. The signing adds to IHG’s existing Vignette Collection properties in Portugal, which include Convent Square Lisbon, Casa da Companhia Hotel & Spa, and the recently opened Onyria Marinha Cascais.
The Vignette Collection brand was launched in 2021. As of 31 March 2026, the brand has six open hotels and 17 properties in the pipeline across Europe. The signing of Esperança Hotel, Vignette Collection is part of the brand’s ongoing expansion in Southern Europe.
IHG’s Vignette Collection aims to combine individual property identity with the brand’s standards. The signing of Esperança Hotel, Vignette Collection marks a further increase in IHG’s presence in Portugal’s Luxury & Lifestyle segment.
