Schroeder will lead operations for Langham Hospitality Group’s global portfolio of more than 30 hotels and residences as the group expands its pipeline to a wider range of destinations. He will support the opening and integration of more than 20 properties in development.

The pipeline includes the group’s first hotel in Thailand and new openings in China this year, followed by brand-defining properties in Italy and Malaysia in 2027 and Saudi Arabia in 2028.

Schroeder is based at the group’s headquarters in Hong Kong and reports directly to Chief Executive Officer Bob van den Oord. In addition to leading operations for more than 50 existing and pipeline properties, his remit includes Group Operations and Quality & Sustainability.

“As we expand to more destinations, Nils’ breadth of experience across regions, cultures and hotel segments will be a major asset,” van den Oord said. “He has a proven ability to respond to market needs without diluting brand identity, and to turn that balance into sustained performance.”

Schroeder joins Langham Hospitality Group with more than 30 years of hospitality leadership experience across Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Europe and Africa. Most recently, he served as senior vice president, operations – Europe and Africa, for Raffles and Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, based in Dubai.

Previously, he was senior vice president, operations – Asia, Middle East and Africa, for Fairmont Hotels & Resorts.

Schroeder also spent more than two decades with Hilton in hotel, regional and brand leadership roles across Europe, the Middle East and Asia Pacific. His most recent role with Hilton, based in Singapore, was vice president, luxury and lifestyle, Asia Pacific, which he held while concurrently serving as global brand head for Conrad Hotels & Resorts.

His experience includes commercial performance, brand positioning, business development and hotel openings.

“I am honored to join Langham Hospitality Group at such an exciting point in its growth journey,” Schroeder said. “The company has built a distinctive portfolio of brands with a reputation for exceptional hospitality and meaningful guest experiences. With an exciting pipeline of new hotels and residences, there is a tremendous opportunity to build on that foundation while continuing to deliver operational excellence across every property.”
