Peacock Just Raised Its Prices for the Fourth Straight Year

18 August 20262 Mins Read

Streaming service Peacock is getting more expensive — again.

NBCUniversal is raising prices across all three of Peacock’s subscription tiers, marking the streaming service’s fourth price hike in four years. The new prices take effect Aug. 18 for new and returning subscribers, while existing customers will see the increase on or after Sept. 17, depending on their billing date.

Peacock Premium, the ad-supported plan that includes movies, originals, and live sports, is increasing from $10.99 to $12.99 per month. Premium Plus will jump from $16.99 to $19.99 per month, while Peacock Select — the cheaper tier that includes NBC and Bravo programming but leaves out movies, sports, and Peacock originals — is moving from $7.99 to $8.99.

Here’s the full breakdown of Peacock’s new pricing:

  • Peacock Select: $8.99/month, up from $7.99
  • Peacock Premium: $12.99/month, up from $10.99
  • Peacock Premium Plus: $19.99/month, up from $16.99

Subscribers are at least getting a fairly broad mix of programming for that higher price. Peacock currently carries movies like The Super Mario Galaxy Movie and Obsession, originals including The Five-Star Weekend, and reality hits like The Traitors and Love Island USA.

The increases come just over a year after Peacock’s last price hike in July 2025, which itself followed increases in 2024 and 2023.

It’s that time of year again

The price hike also comes at an interesting moment for the service. Peacock turned a quarterly profit for the first time during the second quarter of 2026, posting $189 million in adjusted EBITDA, according to Ars Technica. The service added 2 million subscribers during the quarter, bringing its total to 48 million, while subscription revenue increased more than 50% and advertising revenue climbed nearly 70%.

Peacock is hardly alone in asking subscribers to pay more. Netflix, HBO Max, Apple TV, Paramount+, and other major streaming services have all raised prices in recent years as companies look for ways to make streaming businesses more sustainable.

For Peacock subscribers, though, the trend is particularly easy to notice: This is now the service’s fourth annual price increase on a reliable cadence.
