Robert De Niro is learning what a thirst trap is, thanks to Amy Poehler!

De Niro, 83, known for iconic films ranging from Taxi Driver and Raging Bull to Meet the Parents and Analyze This, made a rare podcast appearance on Poehler’s hit show, Good Hang with Amy Poehler. The star, who does his best to avoid talking about himself in the press, sat down with Poehler and got an education when she shared that he’s a TikTok sensation. It seems young people love to make mash-up videos of De Niro in his younger years, showing off how handsome he was. However, the star wasn’t so clear on the meaning of “thirst trap,” which is an attractive social media post or video that’s usually meant to garner attention or sexual interest. De Niro and Tiffany Chen Have a Daughter Together

De Niro separated from his former wife, Grace Hightower, back in 2018. However, the Oscar winner has found love again, walking the red carpet at the Tribeca Film Festival with girlfriend Tiffany Chen, 46. Wearing an asymmetric black gown and silver hoop earrings, Chen, a martial arts instructor who met De Niro on the set of The Intern, looked absolutely stunning alongside the actor. Holding hands, the duo worked it for the cameras.

What Else Has De Niro Said About Parenting?

Last year, De Niro opened up about supporting his kids through everything.

“The main thing is to support your kids,” De Niro told ET. “As long as they’re not hurting themselves, doing anything destructive or anything like that, you have to support them—period… Even if you don’t go with it or think that they…you have to support them,” he continued. “And they have to know that you support them. Always.”

As for Gia, he called her a “pure joy.”

“She’s 2 now, so as they get older and older then…” he said. “But it’s always wonderful. Pure joy, what can I say?”⁠
