If all the spring foliage is getting you inspired and uplifting your spirits, just imagine what a couple of new plant babies might do for your space! This May, there are tons of local plant sales in the Metro Vancouver area to keep your eye out for if you’re hoping to bring home some new houseplants, or warm someone else’s home with a plant of their own.

This weekend, you’ll find a range of vibrant flower varieties like dahlias, over 20 varieties of tomato, and plenty of other lush houseplants at this plant sale in North Surrey. Plus, some pretty great deals, according to the North Surrey Horticultural Society.

When: Saturday, May 2, 2026
Time: 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Where: 14618 110th Ave., Surrey

The South Burnaby Garden Club is hosting its annual plant sale this Saturday, May 2, and you’ll find all kinds of perennial and annual plants, vegetables, herbs, and flowering bushes here. Plus, you’ll have access to refurbished garden tools, should you need to acquire a thing or two to start your own garden.

When: Saturday, May 2, 2026
Time: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Where: 7405 Royal Oak Ave., Burnaby

In addition to perennials and vegetables grown by Richmond gardeners, this sale at Paulik Park will feature opportunities for plant lovers to pick up a few skills from some master gardeners. You’ll be able to sharpen your garden tools and kitchen knives, and have access to microgreens and starter seedlings.

When: Saturday, May 2, 2026
Time: 9 a.m. to noon
Where: 7620 Heather St., Richmond
Cost: Free admission

A week later, on Saturday, May 9, the New Westminster Horticultural Society will host its annual fundraiser and plant sale at St. Thomas More Collegiate. It’ll be cash only, and you’ll find a mix of shady and sunny perennials and vegetable seedlings, all available at below Garden Outlet prices.

When: Saturday, May 9, 2026
Time: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Where: 7450 12th Ave., Burnaby

Why not bring a little bit of outdoor magic indoors this season? If you’ve always wanted to keep more than just a succulent alive, now is the time to seek out some local garden clubs.
