Spring into the season: Exciting pop-up markets to check out in Vancouver

If spring is your favourite season, you’ll want to mark your calendars for these exciting spring pop-up markets to check out in Vancouver. From cool trinkets and art to handcrafted skin care and wellness products, you’ll find no shortage of interesting items for sale, and you’ll have a great time perusing them. Have a bite to eat, enjoy some live music, and take part in some free hands-on activities that get your creative juices flowing. Here are some exciting spring pop-ups to check out in Vancouver.

Known as Vancouver’s “original makers market,” Portobello West Roundhouse Spring Market is a two-day tradition in Yaletown that brings together dozens of local B.C. makers, from handcrafted jewelry to skincare to gourmet treats.

When: Saturday, April 18 and Sunday, April 19, 2026
Time: 6 to 9:30 p.m.
Where: 1515 Discovery St. 
Cost: By donation

For two days this May, the Croatian Cultural Centre is transforming with 100 local brands, a mini makers area for children, and tons of tasty food trucks. Pick up some gifts, get some inspo for your home, and support local B.C. businesses at one of the province’s largest curated markets.

When: Saturday, May 2 and Sunday, May 3, 2026
Time: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Where: 3250 Commercial Dr.
Cost: $5.72 per person

Vancouver is widely known as a vegetarian and vegan-friendly city, and nothing showcases this more than Canada’s first and only vegan night market. What started in 2017 as a pop-up marketplace has become a series of lively indoor and outdoor night markets, spotlighting some of Canada’s coolest vegan brands and tastiest food vendors.

When: March 26, 2026
Time: 6 to 9:30 p.m.
Where: 1515 Discovery St. and Locarno Beach 
Cost: By donation

From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on select Saturdays this March, April, and May, the New West Craft Market is back, bringing together a mix of local makers and artisans in the community to the River Market in Downtown New Westminster.

When: Saturday, April 4, 18, May 2 and 16, 2026
Time: 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Where: 810 Quayside Dr., New Westminster
Cost: Free admission

The beloved Shipyards Night Market will be back every Friday starting May 15, 2026, with a delicious array of food truck eats, live DJ sets, and a beer garden. Each night market will take place from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Shipbuilders Square.

There’s also a new open-air block party series coming to East 1st Street between Lonsdale Avenue and St. George’s Avenue, called “Street Edition,” so stay tuned for more info!

When: Every Friday from May 15 to Sept. 11, 2026
Time: 3 to 10 p.m.
Where: The Shipyards, North Vancouver
Cost: Free admission

The beloved Richmond Night Market is in its 26th year, and 2026 is going to be major. With hundreds of international culinary creations waiting for you and over 100 retail booths, the Richmond Night Market is the ultimate place for foodies to try new cuisines, and this year will be no different. Stay tuned for more info on the market’s 2026 program as it comes!
