We’re over halfway through September, and it’s definitely been a busy month in the city. According to Environment Canada, this upcoming week will be relatively cloudy starting the evening of Thursday, Sept. 24, all the way into the following week. There’s also a 60 per cent chance of showers on Friday, so keep your umbrella handy for any weekend plans.
A new spot for your sweet treat cravings is open in West Edmonton Mall.
Super Crunch Tanghulu, according to its website, is a dessert spot specializing in tanghulu, the popular Chinese dessert made using fresh fruits with a crunchy sugar glaze, and chocolate strawberry cups, alongside fresh fruit juice or a dirty soda to accompany your bites.
It just opened its first location in Edmonton, right in West Edmonton Mall. If you’re looking to get a sweet treat by yourself or with a friend over the chilly weekend, this is a spot you’ll want to check out.
This fall festival is going to make an appearance for the last time this year.
If you want a family-friendly activity to enjoy this fall, you might want to check out Prairie Gardens and Adventure Farm, a u-pick farm open during the summer and fall seasons. It also hosts a ton of seasonal festivals, like its fall festival, Fall-O-Ween, which features a whole load of things to do, see, and eat, all in the name of the season.
This upcoming weekend will be the last weekend of Fall-O-Ween for the year, so make sure to check it out while you still can.
AsiaFest is going to be showing up very soon as well.
Edmonton’s premier Asian night market will be taking over a venue twice as large as last year; this means twice the energy, twice the fun.
This upcoming weekend, you can expect over 120 vendors bringing food and artisan goods, and over 50 cultural performances on the big stage in Windermere. Not to mention, you’ll be able to see all of this thanks to the fest’s free admission, so there’s definitely no reason to sit this one out.
