IF TODAY IS YOUR BIRTHDAY

Try not to be too serious about your aims over the coming year. Yes, of course, you want to get ahead in the world but that does not mean you need to ditch your sense of humour. Do great things, but do them with a smile.

ARIES (March 21 – April 20):

No matter how convincing someone might sound today you will know in the depths of your being that they are wrong. It doesn’t matter that you cannot explain why you feel this way, it matters only that you avoid acting on their advice.

TAURUS (April 21 – May 21):

As Pluto begins its retrograde phase in the career area of your chart today you will need to be more realistic about your long-term aims. No amount of wishful thinking is going to make your most outlandish dreams come true, so get real.

GEMINI (May 22 – June 21):

Recent events have knocked you back a bit, so it isn’t much of a surprise that you feel dejected. Fortunately, what occurs over the next few days will require a rapid and positive response, so it won’t be long before your mood picks up again.

CANCER (June 22 – July 23):

At some stage today you will realize that a friend or family member has been keeping things from you and you won’t be happy about it. Now you have that information though is there anything you can do about it? If not, why get angry?

LEO (July 24 – Aug. 23):

If you struggle to get your point of view across to partners and loved ones today then take the hint and stop trying. Pluto’s retrograde turn in your opposite sign means it won’t be words that make a meaningful difference, only action.

VIRGO (Aug. 24 – Sept. 23):

It may seem as if you are having to work twice as hard just to stay in the same place. In which case maybe you should take the hint and slow down for a bit. Even a Virgo needs time to recover, so be good to yourself today.

LIBRA (Sept. 24 – Oct. 23):

According to the planets there is something you should have done recently but did not and now you are annoyed because the opportunity has passed. Maybe it was a foolish oversight on your part, but you can’t change the past so move forward instead.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24 – Nov. 22):

There are a lot of pessimists around at the moment. Don’t let their negativity rub off on you. No matter how many bad things may be going on you still have the power to improve your small part of the world. Make that your mission today.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 23 – Dec. 21):

Make sure you know what you are talking about before you open your mouth to offer an opinion, because if your facts are not 100 percent correct someone will make an issue of it at your expense. It’s no fun being made to look silly.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22 – Jan. 20):

It doesn’t matter if you are slower off the mark than your rivals today. That may in fact work in your favour as they start something too soon, make a mess of it and then have to go back to the beginning. Take your time and get it right.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 21 – Feb. 19):

Make sure you have a clear idea of what it is you are trying to achieve, because with Pluto beginning its retrograde phase you cannot afford to be vague. Your rivals will make you pay if they discover you’re not as sharp as they thought you were.

PISCES (Feb. 20 – Mar. 20):

You may find it hard to get going over the next 24 hours but that’s no bad thing. The most important thing now is that you look ahead, set yourself reasonable goals and devise a plan that will work for you when the cosmic climate improves.
