A giant floating waterpark in Alberta is set to reopen for the season next month

14 May 20263 Mins Read

You know those giant floating waterparks you see all over Instagram where people are slipping, sliding, and launching themselves in the water, and you can’t help but think, “I need to try that at least once.” Well, lucky for you, there’s one right here in Alberta.

Breezy Bay Waterpark takes over Corner Lake near Lethbridge every summer and turns it into a full inflatable obstacle course. It’s built entirely on the water with a series of floating platforms featuring slides, monkey bars, launch pads, and more. The best part? It’s set to reopen for the season this June, and you don’t even have to leave the province to experience it.

According to organizers, the waterpark will reopen on June 15, 2026.

A floating playground on the Lake

If you’re the type of person who gets bored just sitting by the Lake and would rather spend most of your time in the water, you’re definitely going to love Breezy Bay.

The waterpark takes over Corner Lake, turning it into a full-on floating obstacle course. According to Breezy Bay Waterpark, it’s the first of its kind in southern Alberta, and completely transforms your average lake day into something way more hands-on.

The waterpark has a mix of floating platforms that connect into one large inflatable course, packed with slides, trampolines, monkey bars, climbing sections, and balance challenges.

I think my favourite part of this whole park is the launch pad that basically sends you flying straight into the water with zero warning and a lot more airtime than you’d expect.

The whole setup is built to keep you moving, whether you’re climbing across platforms, balancing on beams, or just accepting that you’re probably going to fall into the Lake at some point.

What to know before you go

The waterpark is located less than 30 minutes southeast of Lethbridge at Corner Lake in Perret Park Campground, and is built entirely on the water.

Because it’s built on open water, it runs as a supervised activity with safety rules in place. Kids 11 and under must be accompanied by an adult, and lifejackets are required for anyone actively on the water.

According to Breezy Bay Waterpark, it’s recommended to bring your own lifejacket, but if you don’t own one, don’t worry, there are some available on-site free of charge.

Time slots are booked in two-hour sessions, so it’s important to book online in advance to secure a slot before the busy summer season.

It’s also important to note that you’re more than welcome to bring food and beverages to the Lake, but there are no on-site food options for purchase. Luckily, there are some local food options nearby, so you can grab a quick bite before heading over.

So if you’ve been waiting for a sign to try one of those inflatable waterparks you see online, this is it. Breezy Bay Waterpark is basically a real-life episode of Wipeout, but on a lake. Good luck staying dry — that’s all I’ll say!

When: Opening Friday, June 15, 2026 (open Monday to Sunday)
Time: 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Where: 4 Aspen Arbor, Raymond, Alta.
Cost: $20 per person
