Best of both worlds: Disney Channel nostalgia is coming to Metro Vancouver next weekend

If Disney’s Hannah Montana was your favourite show growing up, we’ve got great news. Metro Vancouver is about to get its own spin on the release party for the Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special.

The Disney Channel series made waves for its amazing one-liners, heartfelt moments, and iconic characters like Lily (Emily Osment), Rico (Moisés Arias), Jackson (Jason Earles), Oliver (Mitchel Musso), and, of course, Miley and Robby Ray Stewart (Billy Ray Cyrus). This week, much of the cast reunited in L.A., with fans across the globe celebrating online and revisiting all of the show’s top moments.

Next week, The Rec Room Burnaby is hosting a special Hannah-versary of its own that’s equal parts drag show and dance party. The evening will be filled with lively lip-syncs, early 2000s-inspired outfits, Music Bingo, and reliving your childhood nostalgia.

And if that wasn’t enough to get your dancing feet going, the party will also celebrate 20 years of every millennial’s favourite musical film series, High School Musical!

If jamming out to hits like “Getcha Head in the Game” and “Best of Both Worlds” is your ideal Saturday night out, this is the event for you.

Hosted by Disney Channel superfan Carrie Dawn alongside special guests Androgynass and Weebee, the event is sure to be one to remember.
