Patrick Manthe Named General Manager of Avani+ Luang Prabang

Patrick Manthe has been appointed general manager of the 53-room Avani+ Luang Prabang hotel in Laos.

Manthe, a Swiss national, will oversee hotel operations, commercial performance and team development at the property in Luang Prabang’s UNESCO World Heritage town.

He joins from Amari Pattaya in Thailand, where he served as general manager. His responsibilities included resort operations, commercial strategy, and developing dining and guest experiences.

Before joining Amari Pattaya, Manthe served as general manager at Crimson Resort & Spa Mactan and Crimson Resort & Spa Boracay in the Philippines. At Crimson Resort & Spa Boracay, he led the resort’s reopening, and its revenue and gross operating profit reached record levels in 2022. He also introduced art and cultural experiences at the resort.

Manthe previously spent four years as general manager of Chatrium Hotel & Residence Riverside Bangkok. His earlier roles included pre-opening leadership for U Sathorn Bangkok, hotel manager at Eastin Grand Hotel Sathorn Bangkok, and general manager of Mövenpick Hotel Hanoi.

He held senior food and beverage positions with Conrad and Hilton before his general manager appointments.

Manthe holds a Higher Diploma in Hotel Management from the Swiss School of Hotel and Tourism Management in Switzerland. He speaks German and English and has conversational French.

Avani+ Luang Prabang is in Luang Prabang’s old town, opposite the night market. The hotel is surrounded by temples, boutiques and local cafés and offers access to the town’s culture, traditions and Mekong River experiences.

The property is one of two Avani hotels in Laos. Avani+ Lanexang Vientiane opened in July 2026.
